This is arguably your best video yet! I really appreciate the insight into the process... Recently switched from hobbyist to pro and now I have to detail cars that aren't so well maintained. One question. Where do you fit in the interior glass? After plastic but prior to the carpet?
@attention2detailswchelsea4 жыл бұрын
I do glass after carpets and scrubbing plastics but before doing interior dressing but I am very careful not to get dressing on glass. Vacuum - door jambs- shampoo - scrub plastics - glass - interior dressing - final touch-up
@attention2detailswchelsea4 жыл бұрын
Yep! Just spray liberally with APC after and then wash with your regular microfibers and should be fine.

Can you use laundry detergent like tide to clean carpets and seats? Great vid by the way learned alot! Keep up the good work!
@attention2detailswchelsea4 жыл бұрын
You can but it's not as deep cleaning and sometimes doesn't rinse quite as free as easily I've found leaving behind residue and can lead to future accelerated resoiling. I used tide cold water for smoke removal along with citrol and super clean and it smells wonderful after but actually use this now instead for bad odors or smoke removal as it attacks odor causing bacteria and cleans just as good if not better than rocket revive it for bad nicotine stains. bonnetpro.com/omegazyme-enzymatic-encapsulant-detergent/

You'll get a better return with the aqua pro vac imo. May cost most upfront but you'll get better results and machine will last longer.

great video! Is it true that as a rule of thumb to know that you are done extracting is when you see clear water? Or can you be done with the seats with brown water coming through still?
@attention2detailswchelsea3 жыл бұрын
Typically rinse till its clear or no foam but sometimes if staining is too deep rinse till its brown and blot after with a microfiber. May need to spot clean after if wicking occurs though

New to detailing...find myself spending to much time on vehicles. How long the average detail of this nature?
@attention2detailswchelsea4 жыл бұрын
I can take 4-5 hours sometimes on an interior alone. 1-2 hrs vacuuming, 1 hr for plastics and glass, 1 hr for leather, 1 hr for shampooing. That's extreme but possible. On a well maintained vehicle it should take 1-2 hrs.
@homercage74754 жыл бұрын
