Thank you for sharing your way of cleaning the pasta maker!! My anti-friction comb is broken. if I didn’t see your video, I would not know why my machine is new, but the noodles just stuck to the cutter without reason. Anyone knows where I can buy a new anti-friction comb?

I am looking at purchasing a Vintage Deluxe ATLAS PASTA QUEEN Noodle Making Machine by MARCATO but it doesn't appear to have the plastic removable anti friction combs...does that matter? He is selling it for $30 but i want to make sure it will be easy to clean and work properly without the removable combs.

Thank you! What about bacteria? The bacteria left from the egg in the dough is probably dangerous if it’s not cleaned with soap?
@FOODIEAVENUE7 ай бұрын
Remember, the heat from cooking the pasta should kill any bacteria present in the dough. So, as long as you cook your pasta properly, there should be no risk of bacterial infection from the eggs in the dough. If you’re still concerned, you could consider using pasteurized eggs to make your pasta dough, as the pasteurization process kills bacteria. Please always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning your specific pasta maker. If you’re unsure, it’s best to contact the manufacturer directly for advice.

Silly question... Hope somebody can advise. - When using the basic roller - are both sides supposed to be rolling when turning the handle? Or is the dough squeezed between one moving part and one stationary part?
@FOODIEAVENUE2 жыл бұрын
Both rollers are moving.

our tagliatelle attachment fell into tomato sauce. it was almost impossible to clean. it's a pity that the manufacturer didn't put any screws on the outside to get into the inside of the machine.
@FOODIEAVENUE7 ай бұрын
It can be challenging to clean pasta maker attachments, especially when they’ve been submerged in something like tomato sauce. Here are a few suggestions that might help: Soak in warm water: Fill a bowl with warm water and let the attachment soak for a few minutes. This can help loosen any dried sauce. Use a soft brush: A soft brush can help remove sauce from hard-to-reach areas. Be gentle to avoid damaging the attachment. Dry thoroughly: After cleaning, make sure to dry the attachment thoroughly to prevent rusting. You can use a soft, dry cloth or even a hair dryer on a cool setting. Remember, it’s always best to check the manufacturer’s instructions before attempting to clean kitchen equipment. If the attachment is still not clean after trying these steps, it might be worth reaching out to the manufacturer for advice. They may be able to offer additional cleaning tips or suggest a professional cleaning service.

I just bougth a machine and haven't tried it yet. This may seem like a very stupid question... obviously, the dough is what makes the machine dirty, so how is it also cleaning it??? you're not using flour so my guess is the dough is sticky and the residue in the machine sticks to it leaving it clean... but why use flour in the first place then? i thought it was to keep the dough from sticking to the machine but i see now that it doesn't stick at all, it stays perfect as you're going through the whole thinning process. I'm very confused! Thank you for the video and for your response!
@MrSullismom Жыл бұрын
Using dough to clean the machine is only done BEFORE using the machine for the first time. The dough removes any machine oil from the factory. After first use, follow the directions of the video, just don't use the dough.
