This EDDM is a great way to make money, I have a couple of clients (restaurants) who order 40,000 6.5 x 9 postcards twice a year (80,000 a year) , it's an easy $10,400 net profit each restaurant and it takes 30 minutes to change prices and add new pictures. You can have 6 of these clients and each year it's over $62,000 just on these clients.

@@MarketingSavvyRockstars If you haven't gotten into it, start tomorrow, I used to sell Yellow Pages and businesses will pay up $6,000 or more in thr AT&T one for full page color ads, that's for a full year every month.

What is the startup cost for this kind of operation? Is it mostly just a printer purchase and ink?
@rviper20032 ай бұрын
@OneAwareness1 Get a business license first, take a couple of sales courses free online, High Respons Marketing has templates, and can get you postcards. I'm a print broker, meaning I singed up with large printing companies that work with only graphic designers or like you if you get a license. The print jobs are extremely inexpensive. Send out the template and get a couple of prints to show as an example and just go place to place and talk to owners. Now, it's not going to be go meet an owner, and they will buy right away. It can happen, but you need to build that relationship. If you watch his videos, you will get the idea, I could show you, and it's easy, but I don't use people's platforms to help my business that's a bit tacky. But watch his videos your start up cost can be realistically like the cost of a license $50, a set of business cards 1,000 16pt thick full color both sides, after you get set up as a print broker (which is free) like $28. Printing a sample may be a couple of bucks at FedEx Kinkos for like 5 prints. So, less than $100 plus whatever Canva charges to design, which I think there is a free version, I'm not sure I use photshop. You can also outsource your design out of the country, but I believe he has all that stuff on his channel and various platforms. But the re orders are awesome very very little work once you get fast. I can change the design and prices for my clients in an hour. Send them the proof, they review and accept it, and send me a check or cash. And I re order around $4,000 in 1 or 2 hours. Again, it takes time, trust the process, and when you are about to give up, keep going.

Great video! Question...so the post office has no problem with the offers being between the indicia and local postal customer? Also, I'm looking at doing a 4.25 x 11 vertical. Any thoughts on how effective these are? Thanks.

How come you didn’t include the rectangular portion of the indicia in the area that USPS suggests? You placed it at the bottom of the card. Does USPS not really care that much about that?

You guys ever do any conversion rate data? Google says 0.5% to 4.4%. I'm not really in a position to send out 1k cards and not make any return lol. I've been using Google ads for about 6 months and it's conversion rate for me has been about 2%. Direct Mail is a little more expensive than Google ads, it's shorter duration than Google ads, and it's just making me nervous. I've seen his clients send out 10k per mailing, and that just seems way too expensive for basically one day of ads. I know you guys believe in this stuff, so any info you guys might have about low volume mailings, I'd love to hear your experience.

Postcards aren’t a “one day” thing, I’m still getting business from cards I put out almost 7 months ago. It’s physical, people hold onto them and see them repeatedly until they’re ready to call. Everyone is competing for attention online and with so much content it’s hard to jump out. Postcards don’t need to have an algorithm deciding your ads fate. Everyone that you want gets one, there isn’t any competition, and they can physically hold onto them. Not knocking online, you should do everything that works.
