I have been doing a series where I design a new piece based on different prompts from this graphic design ideas book I have. This poster was for the prompt “overlapping colors” and was a fun way to experiment with some printed textures and subtle motion.

Killed it! I was thinking it would be really easy to do this in After Effects but I think the scanner grain, the slight position jitter from aligning them by hand and the frame by frame aspect add something to it that a smooth slider in AE wouldn't have. Nice job brotha!

Appreciate this process! A few things you could maybe take…export layers to files, there’s a tool in bridge, and maybe photoshop to align layers (smart function) that may have helped with aligning scans, and you might have been able to use a transition in frame animation panel to create color steps rather than doing it manually. fiquei com fome. gostaria de ver mais. é ótimo ver processos de outros artistas. eu teria, sem sombra de dúvida, animado no after effects. mas o desalinhamento da tipografia por conta de cada frame ser um scan distinto ficaram tão natural que ficou gostoso de ver. foi melhor ter “scaneado” um por um, por mais que tenha demorado :/ ótimo trabalho! gradientes não são fáceis de serem harmônicos
