Hey Tammy. You are such an inspiration. I enjoy all of your videos. I’m sooo sorry you are dealing with the knee issue. I’ve just starting doing festivals this year and I have an issue with a hip. So I decided right up front to purchase one of those kitchen GEL mats. I stood on it until I had to move and was soooo glad that I had it. Something to think about getting for yourself. I am wanting to tackle a larger festival next year. I would love to hear you talk about your approach to prepping for that. I love how we all learn from each other. Thank you for all you do!! ❤

you know i have a yoga mat that I normally stand on - it is longer than a gel mat so it covers the whole of the area behind my table. A gel mat is probably more cushiony tho! I am going to think about that as my yoga mat is really getting discussing and needs replaced LOL I started having to get cortisone injections in my hips as they will just get to hurting so bad oh my gosh I sound like I'm 80!!!! 😂😂😂 good luck with your festival next year!! 💕

Good Luck w/your knee situation Tammy, being a nurse who suffer from meniscus issues I get it. Now I'm trying my hand at lovely soaps and the RA gets in the way, go figure!!!! But such is life just keep being the beautiful you and I'll keep tuning in girly. God Bless!!!

Thank you so much Heather! 💗I am actually doing much better - almost like I was before the festival. Therapy won't "fix" it - there is no fixing it other than surgery - but I think I may be able to get to where I can live with it. I just don't think that squatting or kneeling is ever in my future - I'm surprised how often those actually come up 😂

I am so glad you did that well. This year has been a rough one for me as my two hospital stays and so many days laid up I couldn't do any this year and that is always my best. Hoping next year is better for me. So happy your candles did so much better for you.

Tammy, I'm so sorry to hear about your knee!! From someone who deals with knee problems and has had three surgeries on one Knee and needs the other one done, I can understand! Thank you for your videos, And the one's talking about doing the vendor events. This is something I really would love to get into! I had my first one last week and it really was a lot of fun! I don't think you said how your wax melts did, That was one of my best sellers!

Oh goodness! 4 surgeries on one knee!?!? That must be horrible for you. Thankfully therapy is helping a bit - won't fix it but it seems that maybe I can live with it (especially as I would maybe have to leave the state to find someone who has actually treated it before 😱) I am so glad you had fun at your first event! YAY!!! My wax melts were also one of my better selling items - must be the year for them LOL 🤗

hi Andi! Thanks, you are right, I'm not good at just doing nothing!! 😆 - I am trying therapy to see about holding off on surgery. I'm better, but every day there is pain. It is off and on though so that is progress LOL💖

So interesting that your selling was reflected in my own experience this year here in the UK. Last year everyone went for the 3 bars for £10. This year many people just bought 1 or 2 bars and their purchases were much more considered and less impulse buying. Lotions and body butter sales were slower than soaps though. All in all a learning year but lovely to meet so many wonderful customers in person. I had a knee replacement this year so I hope you get sorted out soon. My knee issue is much less severe, and I am doing a little better that last couple of days. Fingers crossed I can delay surgery a bit. Hope you have a wonderful holiday!

@@WalnutCreekBathBoutique I’m so glad your knee seems better at the moment. I’m having a second hip replacement on 18th of December. Next year it will be all go with a house move, and hopefully a separate soap studio ( my big dream). Have a wonderful Christmas. I’ll be taking it a bit easy, except my husband has just bought a new puppy!!!! It’s a great incentive for my physio and walking. Here’s to a good 2024, there will always be people who love what we do and support us but it is a difficult time. Xxx

This is why I relate to you Tammy. You schlep your wares out to market same as me. Not may YT creators still do that. Your #’s are very stimuli to mine and it’s as you said, “I have to price my products for my area and what people here are willing to pay”. I’m so sorry to hear about your knee. hey Lissa, thanks for watching my video! I like you schlep phrase, very accurate LOL I'm still on the fence with my knee. Some days are good and some are horrible with it. Cortisone coming tomorrow so fingers crossed it will help.

Thanks Melissa!💕 I am now hopeful that maybe I won't have to have surgery soon - but there is no fixing it without surgery. No surgery = probably always having issues on and off with it. I am so undecided LOL 🤗

@@WalnutCreekBathBoutique it's so hard to decide. If you have surgery will the surgery work? If it works I'm sure it would be worth it. I'm not any help sorry! I had surgery on my foot and it never healed properly so I'll have pain the rest of my life. And my knees both swelled up from synovial fluid? LOL IDK what's wrong with them but that's what the DR said. He only gave me the option to have them drained and then give me cortisone shots, but those shots literally make me insane, so I opted out. I'm going to make a magnesium lotion with comfrey, arnica, and CBD. Hopefully it will help. But if surgery will fix the problem it would be great! I did have carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand and elbow and I don't have pain there anymore! I just wish I would have done the right hand too! LOL my body's way older than my mind! 😂 Well sorry to hit you with all that stuff... hope you had a great holiday! Take care.

I just love listening to you! Thank you for sharing so much! I am just getting started in the world of live events and have a standing market 2 Saturdays a month. I will do that until April or so when it just gets too hot! I have made shampoo bars for myself but not for sale yet. They are in the works for sale as well as a few other things!

Yeah, i get a lot of folks asking for shampoo too. Creams have gone down this year, soaps too. When I demo anything it sells. I mainly do farmers markets and price is a biggie there. I do more natural too so my cost for EOs, isolates and resins are flipping crazy. I am now doing blends with FO. My bath fizzies are a hit or miss. It depends on the market I am doing. I am in the myrtle beach area. I would like to see how you set up your tent. I have seen your old video of your set up. Thanjs so much!

it's crazy to me that every single show is different with what sells. even the same show from year to year - there is just no telling what is going to be "the seller". Always different I do a booth setup video, about every year I think. That will probably come in the spring but I am going to take some video/pics this weekend because I'm changing it after this show. That way I can show options LOL

So glad you did well at the Festival! My soaps sales this Fall have not done as well as last year did, but I am not going to sweat it because, it is so weird and unpredictable. If I made less next year then sales may go up. My bars always weigh 5 oz +. Wax melts don't go well at all! Even at 8-9 % fragrance load. I just put it up to inflation. 🤔😣 Hoping next year will be a better year for me. I think you have made an impact at the Festival and next year will be even better. You might even start saying, " What have I got myself into"? Just think you have an employee now at the show. Cheers 👍🤗💕

I really hope therapy helps with your pain. I will say a prayer for your fast recovery. I have had 2 soaper friends with health issues this year. One in the UK and one in Washington. What a year! I had a brother killed by a very drunk driver, my other brother has had 2 strokes, my sister is fighting a bad type of Cancer. A strange year! I hate to admit this, but I can't seem to get in live on this kindle. I have tried and tried. So I just try to catch them when I get done for the day. I don't know what I am doing wrong....... Oh Goodness Cheryl! I know it is inflation - 30 bucks is a big ask right now I think. Oh girlfriend I am so sorry about your knee what is going on with us lol Seems as older we get our bodies are telling us to slow down. I am going in for another surgery on Dec 20 and will be out of commission for a min of 6-8 weeks ugh.But at least it will be in the winter. I hope they can get yours fixed quick for you. Sorry about the knee problems. Take care of yourself. Maybe some natural anti inflammatory will help. My sales decreased since I missed many of the event due to my surgeries. I am on the opposite from you. Bath bombs didn’t do well to the point I decided I am not making them anymore. I love them but don’t know what is going on. Soaps did well and the best as always were my serums and facial products. Love Tammy.

Most of the ones without baking soda use magnesium hydroxide, arrowroot, beeswax etc. I love the cream deodorant from Little Seed Farm, wish I could duplicate it for myself so I wouldn’t have to buy theirs.😁

You need to rest your body. Make you some bone broth and try out 'Just-Tea'. Tumerick with black pepper and soak in dea sea salt. Yoga helped me too. I am not a yoga person but it almost instantly helped a compressed disc in my back. Rest my lady, rest❤
