Congratulations Tammy! So exciting! Most of my sales are online. I have a few customers, from the beginning that put in large orders all the time. I purchase boxes from Uline and always have them on hand for larger orders. Boxes don’t go bad they can be stored in a dry place for a long time. I also purchased crinkle paper from Uline and use it for packing orders with tissue paper, glass I wrap in bubble wrap which I have purchased and saved from my orders. This is so exciting, I am so happy for you! 🙂❤️🙂
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique5 сағат бұрын
Hi Corry! I do need to get some bigger boxes in just in case I get more bigger orders. These flat rates are way too much $$ to ship. Thanks for sharing some of your process! I will have to look for that crinkle paper on Uline as I am almost out and want to switch to white. Thanks for your comment and for watching!

Good morning Tammy. I'm watching you pack your big order. That is great. I don't know who you use for shipping, but I've tried several times to go with the flat rate boxes and it has always been more expensive with the flat rate than with who I use. Just wondering if you have compared it? I use Shippo but there are several and like I said they seem to always be less expensive than flat rate.
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique4 сағат бұрын
Thank you! 💕 Yes these dang flat rate boxes are way to much $$ - I just don't have large boxes otherwise. I wonder if I could turn them inside out somehow... I use Pirate Ship and yes, usually much cheaper than these flat rates - I have not used flat rate in several years until this order.🤔
@VWeiss-et8pi26 минут бұрын
@@WalnutCreekBathBoutique That might work. They took the A, B & C ones they had that were cheaper. I recycle my boxes to. Things are so ridiculously expensive right now we small businesses need to do what we need to do so we can survive. I love watching your videos. They make me smile and I love that we can see we can all have oops moments when making soap. I've been making soap since 2005 but haven't gotten the nerve to do videos.

Hi the cyclomethycon says in lotion crafter to just mix this with fragrance oil. They don’t say you need a preservative. Why did you used a preservative? The CME says you need water and preservative. Just learning here, thanks so much for sharing.
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique4 сағат бұрын
Great point! I wondered about the fact that there was no preservative on the formula and it just makes me question why not. I never could really figure out why it would not need one and felt it doesn't hurt to add it - so I added it 😆 thanks so much for watching and good luck!

Hi I love my unscented natural glycerin soap bars but they melt into a slurry in my bathroom even in an open bottom soap dish in less than a week. I would really like to just melt them into liquid soap to just nip that issue in the bud. anyone have any tips on how to do this?????? Please 🙏 fam
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique4 сағат бұрын
I have tried to take a bar of soap and turn it into a liquid - I just don't think there is any way to do that. it turns a snotty gross mess LOL I have not tried glycerin (or melt and pour) into liquid but I think that would not turn out very well either. But don't let me stop you from trying and if you succeed please let me know!🤗

Where did you go to take classes to be a formulator? I'm trying to learn more. Thanks for the great video!
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique4 сағат бұрын
thanks for watching. I haven't taken any classes to be a formulator. Honestly I'm not a great formulator, I have a few that I have created that I am super proud of though. I learned most from Marie and Humblebee and Me. I would start there. Also Whole Elise is another great one to watch. Finally Tara Lee you can search all of them on KZbin and you will def learn from them. there are formulating degrees you can get with taking online classes but they are very expensive. Good Luck!

This recipe sounds amazing! I wish I wasn't allergic to shea butter. I know I'm missing out, shea brings a lot to table.
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique4 сағат бұрын
hey Nora! I didn't know that about you! I switch between mango, shea and cocoa butters. I usually use whichever I have the most of. I actually was going to run a test of all 3 to see the difference (if any) they bring to the soap...I will add it to my list so I remember LOL

I wanna start bath bombs donyou need a large capital for it? Can you probably make it in a very low cost.
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique4 сағат бұрын
you can absolutely start with very little cost. The only thing I would caution you is to use a soap or candle supplier for your fragrance and your color. Everything else can be bought at a local store (walmare/kroger) - good luck!!

Thank you so much for sharing lovely tutorial. I will attempt to make a small batch because you said it was not greasy especially in the hot climate like New Delhi India at the moment it is 42 Celsius.
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique4 сағат бұрын
Thank you! but I want to caution you - these are going to be heat sensitive - if your making them for yourself and they won't leave your home (as long as there is air conditioning) you should be fine. But with that temp they will melt really fast and then set up again and be all grainy good luck!

Substituting milk for water is everyones "first" mistake! Milk is not water it has a sap value...i started a channel to show this and only this, two recipes are available one with 12.5% milk and only yesterday i posted one at 38% milk. I dont use titanium dioxide...justnan soap...❤
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique4 сағат бұрын
hey thanks for your comment (I think LOL) It took me down a rabbit hole of researching because I have never heard of this. I did find some differing opinions on it and now don't know what to think 🤔 I had never seen that on soapcalc though and seeing it there was a shock! I think I need to look into this more, but I haven't had any issues with my soaps by doing the swap, but you are having success with adding in the SAP value... oh this soap journey LOL Thanks again!!! 💗

Too... much... neon???? Sorry, my Gen X brain can't wrap itself around that concept. 🤣 I love the little wisps and swirls of neons in the body of the soap. And you know I'm always a fan of your mass-planting piped tops! Okay, so what did you do to your hand?! That is a massive bruise on it!
@WalnutCreekBathBoutique7 күн бұрын
aw thanks Andi! I love your wording "mass planting" haha I'm going to try to use that one 😀 I didn't realize how much that bruise stood out until I was editing and then there wasn't a thing I could do about it - it is an iv bruise from my knee surgery.
