Actually, since you did 1402 DMG at the last clip, and the dummy shows a DPS of 14164, your actual "window" of dmg was 0.09898 seconds, which is sub 0.1 seconds. Congrats! Edit: Given that dummy calculates (Damage Taken) / (Time it took to do that dmg) = DPS

But the dummy took redemption dmg normaly so if you dont count this dmgs, the right time is 0.1sec i think

@@wikzh7510 The redemption counts towards the time since it procs one of the four fiora "ult sections". If you don't count it, it means he did it even faster because you removed the time from "Redemption -> fiora first dmg" (since you remove time, it can go even lower) If he did it at the same time (even to the millisecond) then it doesn't really matter, does it? :) Since they started at the same time, the 0.9898 is still the same. In general, if you don't start counting stuff, the time gets lower, not bigger :) The only way it could be more than 0.9898 seconds, is if something else procs the 1/4 fiora segments, with zero dmg and the dummy doesn't start calculating DPS. But everything he used did dmg at current patch.

League runs in ticks, so in theory it should not be possible to have this happen, but since league is made from spaghetti code the tick timing is inconsistent. It wasn't due to his inputs being slightly faster than 4 ticks, it just so happens that the average length of the 4 ticks was shorter than it should be. Source: second place fiora ult holder

​@@TurkeyMeat You are correct, but consider the following: From what I gather from playing league, the league servers are authoritative servers. Meaning each and all inputs go to the server which decides if it is allowed. For example, a (let's say hacked) client, can't simply send to the server "hey, my flash cooldown is finished" every tick (and thus "hack" the game and have flash always available). Riot made such mistakes in the past and they implemented a system that "checks" (is the authority) on cooldowns etc. Basically you can't just say whatever you want to the server and it accepts it. It validates it to see if there is any ill intent by the client. Now, since we can trust the server into keeping everything in check, we can disregard any roundtrip packages or ticks by the server. Meaning, we don't care how much time it took for fiora's actions to go through the server, validate the input and then wait for our computer to show it (though the screen or video recording etc). We need a way to check how much time it took for fiora to proc the ult, and the server (being the man in the middle of all players) should be "trusted" on input validation as well as the time it took for every input to come to it. If only we had a way to ask the server to tell us how much time it took for all four of fiora ult sections to proc. Wait a minute, all of the actions fiora did in the video did some damage. And we have the damage and the DPS from the dummy. And thus a simple division of the "DMG TAKEN" / "DPS" gives us the time window it took the dmg. The server, by having a dummy in the map, is basically spoon-feeding us the answer. Now, here's the important part. If we also have in mind input buffering, it is possible that the following happened: 1. Redemption is pressed and the animation starts. 2. A TICK-PERFECT "button smash" of the skills in the correct order (so they get buffered in the same order) just a tick before redemption procs the first. 2.5 In the meantime, server keeps counting the milliseconds of redemption and is going to start calculating the dmg 3. As soon as redemption dmg is calculated and the first fiora ult proc happens, the server gets the package with all the buffered button smash from the player. 4. Calculates all the dmg and the time it took, and shows the dps. I don't know where the 4 ticks you mention came from (jhin reference?). But all of the above are in a "possible scenario". To get that tick-perfect, is basically impossible. But not that much if we consider from the video that he spend weeks on that. At that point, doing it repetitively, it could be possible (out of sheer luck with perfect input delay from the keyboard and/or mouse) to get the ticks and inputs at the exact order.

@@TurkeyMeat After a second thought and some google searches I see I made an assumption. The fact that I thought that buffering multiple inputs (the button smash) will be processed by the server in a single tick. It might be the case, but the server might process a single buffered input at each tick. So it would take 4-5 ticks for all of the inputs to be processed and thus, as you said, could be impossible. But, on the other hand, as you said, it is an average of 30.30 ticks per second, and it could be the case that the ticks that processed the inputs got very fast. I mean, it is a practice tool map that only has one player instead of 10. And with having an average of 30.30 ticks per second for 10 players, it is possible that being alone in practice tool gives you and advantage regarding tick rate. Thanks for the trip down memory lane of when I picked up game development only to realize I hate 2d/3d modeling :)

You are an admirable individual. I’ve been getting the vibe (from watching and playing League lately) that many people have lost their passion for this game. Besides the pro players that we know and love, it doesn’t seem like many people see anything in League as a craft to perfect. It’s realistic, because pro players are memorialized and earn money off of it. Content creators can make money off this game without that sort of dedication. Man, and here I am that is already glad to meet THREE procs on the moving target before it gets away. I tried to main Fiora a few years back but her ult was so not fun to me at all and so utterly useless in an actual teamfight that I dropped her. Another reason was that there were just SOOOOO many counter picks to her with the most popular one being Ilaoi, I could have puked tentacles. I can see that it must be really satisfying when you finally get the full ultimate done and especially so when you get it faster than the eyes can see but the effort needed to manage that, doesn't look worth it for me. I would never be ready to dedict so much of my spare free time in the boring training tool just to finally be able to use Fiora. Kudos to you.
