Currently a graduating nursing student at WCU (Orange Campus). I’m on my last term and we graduate this Oct. If there’s any advice I could give current and future nursing students at the moment is to really learn your material. Teach yourself and others. If you can teach it, then you will retain it. We see a lot of people struggle towards the end of the program because they memorized the material without really understanding the patho behind it and why certain interventions are used. Also do not let anyone discourage you from achieving your goals. Nursing school is hard but you have to keep in mind that you’re doing this for you and not for anyone else. Find that drive in you and go for it. The nursing program is faster than you think and before you know it, you will be done and preparing to take your board exams! 🙂 Good luck future and current nursing students! The world needs you!

THANK YOU for this! I totally agree. Actually understanding the content will only make things easier for people. It takes a lot of effort and time, but it is so worth it. Also, congrats on your last term!

Is anatomy all online ? I’m going to be starting in Jan!

Hi there! I hope your semester is going well so far. To be honest, I am not too sure. For me, anatomy was all online due to the pandemic. I believe WCU is trying to bring most classes back to in-person though based on how things were when I graduated last year.

I apologize for only seeing this now. For any anatomy exam that I took, I always liked to visualize where those muscles, bones, etc. are on myself. It helped me learn fast the locations of those and any important landmarks. Other than that, reviewing flashcards really helped me as well

Hi, can you make a video of how you financed your school?
@thescrubslife
@thescrubslife 3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, I can talk about that in a future video. In a nutshell though, I had to get it financed through two different loans. One through FAFSA and another through a private loan company.

@thescrubslife
@thescrubslife 2 жыл бұрын
I had classes already from my previous university before attending WCU. I was able to get a few of those classes transferred over for credit thankfully

@@thescrubslife How are you liking the school? I might be starting In June of 2023
@thescrubslife

@@DanWithAPlann like every school it has its ups and downs. Covid has made it quite hard to get placed into clinicals for some but it has been getting a bit better lately, there can be an improvement in communication with the students from administration, but i will say that i have been fortunate enough to have good professors for the most part so far.
