Linda, I love your window box! It's like a raised bed. No stooping or squatting, minimal bending, wow! I have some MAGNIFICENT caladiums with leaves of green border, deep pink middle and veins, and small white "dots" or splotches. They have done very well this spring/summer! Now I am hearing about this method of digging up the tubers, which I plan to do very soon. My caladiums are mingled in with giant lime green hostas (plantain lilies) which will be in my face while harvesting the caladiums. It was recommended to use sand or sawdust to store them. Neither seems convenient to get a hold of, but I may try one or the other anyway. I do not want to mess this up. Thank You Again for a wonderful, inspiring video! :D

Thank you Linda. I have removed some of mine but leaving some that are more protected until the last minute. I had no idea how to store them so this has been very informative. Can’t wait to see what you do next in your beautiful window box.

Your white caladiums have been so pretty, I plan on adding some to my garden next year. I've been re-potting (otherwise I seem to bring in tiny critters) more of my house plants that have lived outside all spring/summer and bringing them back inside. A glorious day to be outdoors, in the dry cool air. Happy Fall!

Completely off topic, but would you share the name/paint color of your window trim? I love it and think that it makes everything around it - from plants to brick and stone - just pop!

So adding them to your calendar...what month do you think you’ll get them back out? I’m zone 7a so I’m curious since I believe we’re the same zone.

I was wondering the same! I’m in 7 too, in Maryland
