I always thought to myself that the hearts was to show love to these hair styles, but also a little reminder to love and appreciate our own:))

I’ve been following you on Instagram for a little while now (yes that’s where I’m coming from lol), and your work is honestly so amazing. As an amateur artist, I appreciate the help with hair it’s always been a problem area for me and this definitely helped a lot, and just as a person I appreciate the education and the insight into the history. I learned a lot from this

I’ve always had a passion for drawing but always fall out due to lack of finding my own art style and not having enough inspiration from fellow black artists so this helped tremendously. Because drawing our hair isn’t represented enough so I’m gonna jump back in and by no means disrespect I’ll lean towards your style along with others I favor to try and find my own. All love keep going bro

I love this video! You are very eloquent. The history lesson (some of which I knew so that made me smile to hear you reiterate it 😍) and your take on Black people (as a Black man) and our beautiful hair! I’m not an artist like you, my art lies in building stuff, growing food, and cooking it 😂😂 I do have kids who are artist. I follow you on IG bc I support young creative Black Art & saw this post & decided to subscribe & follow you here too. Good luck & keep up the great work, beautiful art & the wonderful interesting videos coming young man! I am ROOTING for you❣️❣️

I just found your channel and I thought I felt alone drawing mostly black characters in an anime/cartoon style it’s comforting to see a brother doing the same -Coming from a Senegalese 🇸🇳✊🏿

It's so annoying having to always say black people aren't a single entity. For every other culture it's simply assumed, correctly, that they have diversity throughout. For black people we have to constantly say we're not all x or not all y.
