@@torakfett3351 do you draw one eye first and then the other? If yes, try something else instead: draw them simultaneously, first do the placement of each eye, then do the iris of each eye, then the eyebrows (or whatever order you prefer) and so on. That generally makes it easier.

I love loVE LOVE how messy and unfinished your drawings are for this lesson. A lot of other art teachers will show a completely finished or at least cleaned up sketch and it becomes so daunting because I don’t know which aspects of the art to focus on for what I am trying to learn. What, you think stick figures can enjoy attention? No, of course you don’t. But you’re describing them as though they are alive and so am I, even though they are not and we know they are not. Why? Because they’re characters and as such we are to _imagine_ that they are alive and they are real. That’s literally the concept of suspension of disbelief.

One thing that I wish was included in this video is composition. The composition of a scene is SO important to character interaction and dynamics. You did touch on this a little in the "bigger person, little person", but its more than that. So, to explain what I mean is that there is a top, bottom, left, and right of your page. Central means that your character has focus, this can be good or bad depending on the mood. If you put characters in the open space around the center, you make either a "fish in the sea dynamic" or a "tower in the sky dynamic". Characters being on the left and right of the scene indicate a rivalry, a confrontation. Characters being on the top or bottom of the scene indicate a power dynamic. A villain for example would be above the victim. Next time you draw a character interaction, think about WHERE they are in the scene, because it does make a huge difference and does enhance the interaction and the audience's feelings towards the scene!

Something that's great with this sort of breakdown when you're already familiar with interactions and posing and such is that having it broken down and explained helps you see all the parts. At least for me it does. It helps me figure out "okay, I am here, and if I want to take it to the next level, I need to consider this and maybe add more of that". A lot of this I did know but I had been doing most pose studying subconsciously. Having it broken down was helpful. So, thank you!

Woah, this was a great and infomative video!! ouo I feel like I learned a lot! Whenever I drew characters interacting before, I've always just tried to go off on how the action should look like in my head, and never really thought about the smaller details like the wrinkles on the clothes or the squishing of skin etc, and just changed it whenever I saw fit, like " maybe the clothes being completely flat doesn't make sense considering the pose its in", which was sometimes helpful, but more often than not, I would overlook things since I wasn't seeking to identify anything. But seeing it drawn out like this, I can see how and why it gives a bigger feel, and now I know things to look out for! And the directions, individual energy, different perspectives on the same scene (Bob being stabbed while still grinning at a ticked-off Mark was very hilarious to me btw) and "space between the characters" thing were all concepts that are really helpful to visualize and create the vibe and impact of a good interaction between characters, as well as show what makes the dynamic so compelling. Thank you very much!!!! :DD (Also, sorry, off-topic, but Bob and Mark's dynamic remind me of the main characters (who are very good partners and amazing foils to one another, they're one of my favorite duos of all time) Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang of the show Link Click (It is also one of my favorite shows of all time for multiple reasons, even if I exclude how great the main characters' dynamic is) , and it brought me immense joy. Thank you for the serotonin as well. *bows*)
