Ye and don't keep that loose shoe near the brake pedal, it could get lodged under the pedal, making it unable to press the brake. I've had a similar accident happen that way and it could have been fatal .

Wow! And this may sound bad but if it had to be. If it were "in the cards," that you were to lose your arms I think you are lucky that you were born already without them. Even just the flexibility required to do much of what you are able to I think is becouse of that. If you were to have lost your arms at thirty, forty years old, forget about it. At least my legs haven't been up around my ears in years. Ha!
