I'm finding that CitriStrip is melting my permanent vinyl stencils. Tried Oracal 651, Cricut, and HDVront. Is there a known brand/style that doesn't do this?

I’ve done several now and found that this brand of tumbler was horrible to work with. My other brands worked beautifully. TAL was my favorite and only took about 20 minutes without heat or foil. So try again. You’ll love it.

Yes I agree with the TAL tumblers / bottles but Columbus lot of the citrus strip on it for about an hour or 1 1/2 hour maybe 2 hours I set mine for about an hour and I had to scrub it off use my weeding tool and soak the design with nail polish remover it humped but it took me seven and a half hours to do my cup but it came out cute not bad for my first time

Have you ever used a gradient tumbler from ozark? I'm not sure if they're different but I left it on for hours and it barely left a mark. There's just a faint outline where the gel was and the vinyl was eaten away into a soggy mess. Maybe I didn't shake it enough? I put aluminum foil on and even heated it

The Magic Eraser didn't work for paint removal for me. My fingernail was the best tool I tried. I was afraid the use my pointy tool as I thought it would scratch the metal. I left the Citristrip on for an hour. It still took a while to get it all off. My one tumbler had 3 colors and must have had several coats of paint as it was more difficult to remove than my one color tumbler. It did turn out really good though.

I bet it probably depends on what tumbler is being used. My fingernail worked the best for me also! Lol I’m glad you’re turned out! ❤

I know when I use it for taking paint off furniture I use use Saran wrap to takeoff the paint. I wonder if that would help during the wait time.

Some sort of plastic wrap over the stripper helps but it still may need two coats! Yours looks great!

@@KaylasCricutCreations Kayla, it works so well. I left my CritusStrip on about 2 hrs ,( I know over kill, but ) when I removed the stencil it was amazing ! I yelled out loud lol. My husband was even impressed with the way it worked and even with shipping etc from Amazon it's a true game changer for me. Good luck. I love your channel BTW. I used a Scrub Daddy sponge that did not scratch the stainless steel. It still wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be.
