Thomas - great video. This is something that more of f us need to be talking about. Exposing log is not a straightforward process and it’s not consistent across camera brands and now even models. Nice work. Do more of these videos. People need this content.

Try adjusting the exposure on resolve before the lut and not after. You'll have similar images when you do that 👍

Great video Thomas. I think when most people say to overexpose clog 2, it’s because the clog2 from the c200 and c300 Mark ii were really noisy in the shadows. The c70 is way cleaner in the shadows so it doesn’t mind being exposed slightly darker. Great video bro!
@thomas.kovacik3 жыл бұрын

@volkom913 жыл бұрын
Yes! It's great to have a camera where I'm confident that I don't have to overexpose the image, this sensor is the reason the C70 is better than all the Sonys etc. It's beautiful and easy to work with.
@jessejayphotography3 жыл бұрын
I really appreciate the non-fussy workflow the C70 provides. Shoot for a balanced exposure and the DGO sensor keeps shadows detail without very little noise. Would love to see a FF version of it.

Nice video but I am missing a bit of the conclusion. What values are you looking for now ok false color and wave form? Keep the black over 20IRE? Where do you put skin tones? Green on the FC? Or one stop over green?
@burritobrosvideos80602 жыл бұрын
That's what I'm curious about also
@thomas.kovacik2 жыл бұрын
It all depends haha, you wouldn’t expose skin tones at the same level for an interview vs sunset with dramatic light. I feel with this camera you just expose to what looks right, basically there’s no need to over expose anymore with it. Same with the new Sony sensors and slog3

I've had this issue with the C300 mkiii and it has been really annoying because I followed the same procedures that you have. Its made me want to just shoot everything Red raw because it seems to be that I expose correctly but I want to change the detail the way that I want. But I guess when I shoot Clog 2 next time I will figure this out.
@RockyColaFizz3 жыл бұрын

@@thomas.kovacik Do you not need to do any additional grading for most of your work?
