Was wondering if you could go over how you decided what pressure tanks to use on your strawberry fertilization system? I'm looking to do something similar to my acre plots.

In high tunnel how often do you water plants
@abundantlifeseminars6 ай бұрын
That's a pretty amazing operation! When growing tomatoes in tunnels how does a person gauge when and how much water to apply? Had lots of cracked tomatoes last year (we are in hot Kansas).

I use soil moisture meters placed in key locations. It gives me an idea of what the level is. I usually water a min of once per week to fertilize.

1st week of June we are hitting 112 degrees in Arizona. It happens every year here.

What do you do to mitigate the absence of crop rotation?

What fertilizer ratio do you think you are doing? Also what about multiple crops in a high tunnel?

I LEARNED ALOT FROM YOUR VIDEO
@aoverhage51817646 ай бұрын
Just curious if this was a mistake or intentional. Masterblend recommends 8:5:8 (basically 2:1:2) ration of Masterblend : Epsom Salt : Calcium Nitrate. You say 7 lbs MB and 3.5LB Calcium nitrate. Are you running half the recommended nitrogen or was that just a mistake? I suspect you meant 7 lbs of Calcium Nitrate and Master blend and 3.5 lbs of epsom salt?

@@kirkdehart7282 I have been doing the 2:1:2 and it has been working well for me.

Does grafted mean from a cutting?
@convictednotconvinced6 ай бұрын
Yes, but unlike cloning, where a cutting produces new roots or stems and is an exact genetic replica of the source plant, grafting involves joining two (or more) plants together. A cutting from the upper portion of one plant is joined to the rootstock of another such that the transport vessels fuse together to form a new plant. Search "grafting" for example videos.

I think you should do 10 minutes of water first then fertilizer then water again
@edcollier25266 ай бұрын
This is similar to what I do. My reasoning is to fully saturate ALL of my drip tapes with clean water. I think it helps to distribute the fertilizer much better.

I have this greenhouse in South West Ohio.... Anybody able to run it?
@convictednotconvinced6 ай бұрын
That's a shit load of fertilizer. Masterblend recommends 1 quart per ft² of soil applied every 1 to 2 weeks but your almost double that. Do you have any idea how your able to apply so much without issues? Clearly it's working.
