Thank you Georgie. You've just reminded me to bring my seedlings in! It's been such a lovely warm day here in North Wales that I gave them a little sunbathe. Have you ever thought about insulating your greenhouse? Mine has a double layer of large bubble wrap that keeps it cosy enough for the little people! 💚

Hi Georgie. I sowed my wallflowers in July last year. I then put them in the nursery bed a few weeks after germination. I was shocked to find them flowering in the week! Just a bit early, ha ha. How long do i need to keep my ranunculus in the greenhouse befre I can plant them out? Would it b until after the last frosts? Really enjoy your seed sowing and growing on videos. So interesting. Thank you. Happy gardening 😃x

everything is far ahead this year but I fear a late spurt of winter will come and kill all this sappy new growth - re ranunculus if you're planting into the garden make sure harden off well before planting out into free-draining compost and maybe give them a little temporary tunnel to keep them cosy - they are quite hardy so long as the ground is free draining - freezing in wet ground will do them no good x

@@theflowerfarmer I have 18 inch raised beds for them so very free draining.They are filled with a layer of sticks, then loam and then compost. I will cover them with cloche tunnels as you have advised, I have started them off in a frost free summerhouse,potted singly in 7cm pots. So plant them out at the beginning of May with protection? Thanks Georgie 😃x

Georgie, is it ALL sand in the heated trays or is soil mixed in? What kind of sand is best?
@theflowerfarmer
@theflowerfarmer 8 ай бұрын
all sand in the heated trays (with a bit of spilt compost from over the years but not intentional) and it's just ordinary builders' sand. x
