You are by far the most humerus of all the flower farmers who's vids I watch. A great laugh when there generally isn't much to laugh about. Quite like your business philosophy. Very good stuff when all is said and done.

Wonderful! The arrangement, your words of wisdom, thoughtfulness, knowledge you impart, things to ponder are all gratefully appreciated. Counting my blessings has been something that has kept me going through some very trying times indeed. Being in nature gives me much to be grateful for, just seeing how perfectly designed it all is. Once upon a time people were crafters, making things the best they could, and others willing to pay suitably. In this day of mass production, I appreciate so much the amount of attention to detail work such as yours is and I’d much rather pay for that. Your work is wonderful in all ways.

Hi, Georgie, I totally agree with you, I always try to patronize small businesses, they're the backbone of the economy, and I totally get that they're unable to offer significant discounts because they just can't do the volume that the big chains do. And I truly appreciate the quality and attention to detail that offset a so-called bargain. Happy Thanksgiving from New York 🧡🦃🧡

Remembering when the Black Friday phenomenon for retail in the 1960's, it seemed like it was a way for business to liquidate all their holiday merchandise at a discount rate. Moving on to the periods of recession, Black Friday became a way for business to move slow merch because of tight money and deals were mind blowing, including now the Cyber Monday. But in periods of prosper and people have more discretionary income to spend, the deals have been not as good as during lean times. I mean I got a new phone for $.01 for goodness sake and I certainly haven't seen deals like that in recent years. I'll do on line sales but I'm not going into the stores and fight the crowds for some impulse buy. We usually make a list and early Friday morning scan for the products we want to buy. But I came here for the twiggery pokery part. =)

it's an old bit of folk lore that you keep bay by the door to keep witches away - that's why people have bay trees by their front doors (even if they don't know it!) x

A seedcompany in scandinavia has black seed day, (svart Frødag) a wordplay on friday frø=seed. 30% on all seeds , maybe it was last season seeds to make room for next season. But still a good deal. So that was the only black friday deal for me!

I refuse to purchase things from the company that starts with an A and has a P membership. I don't believe that is fair to anyone, including, possibly, some poor overworked person in China. I try to buy local, support small businesses and work toward a more joyful world for us all. I have told people in my life that I'm not buying Christmas gifts except for my immediate family and if I had workers, I would buy for them (but I don't). Great philosophy. BTW, you look wonderful in those colors. A very nice outfit.

a lot of the big compagnies that do BF, first raise their prices and then do a fake discount...
@theflowerfarmer2 жыл бұрын
that's shocking! x
@katrienvh42892 жыл бұрын
@@theflowerfarmer yup, a friend was watching the prices for buying an iwatch, and it was more expensive on BF discount than the weeks before in the same stores at their normal prices... And so they don't only trick their customers, but they also steal customers from smaller shops that try to make an honest living.
