This video starts out with false information right off the bat😂 completely false the dude tried to apply e=mc2 to the energy that’s in food😂 the energy in food that humans use is chemical energy mass is conserved during chemical reactions the m in e=mc2 stands for mass ergo e=mc2 does not apply to caloric energy the guy doesn’t even understand the difference between nuclear energy and chemical energy. Einstein created that equation specifically for nuclear reactions not chemical reactions

Cut out all fast food / processed food. Started skateboarding for cardio, got into rock climbing, swimming, lifting. Also started regularly fasting for 2-3 days, prolly once every other month. If you are in a caloric deficit, you will lose body fat.

Notes: Caloric deficit, must count calories, cut 500-1000 a day, pick low calorie high volume high protein foods, incline walking for 30-60 minutes, resistance training to maintain muscle, intermittent fasting to control hunger, caffeine to control hunger, do your carbs before your workout, track progress to increase motivation

Your comment reminded me of a time I came across a presentation that recommends a different approach if you have thyroid issues. If I remember correctly, maintain caloric intake and fast once a week. I remember hearing it more optimally regulates your metabolism and endocrine system. However, my memory may be wrong, so definitely do your own research on this.

What this guy said are all true. I was 231 lbs (106kgs), took me 7 months to get to 187 lbs and still going. The first step is the hardest, it was also my first time in the GYM, i don't know what to do so i just used the Treadmill. I kept on using just the Treadmill for 1 month and after that i started using some weights. Most importantly during my whole journey, i maintain a strict diet, drank lots of water, sleep for atleast 7 hours everyday, lifts weights and so on. Consistency is key, never give up. 😊

Went to the ER one day and found out I had 2 hernias, had kidney stones and they found a polyp(very early sign of cancer) in my gallbladder back in May this year and I was 250 lbs. Now I’m going to the gym and eating healthier again and already down to 218 lbs. only thing that sucks is that I’m going to have to go through 2 different surgeries, getting my gallbladder removed 2 weeks from now and then once that is healed, getting both hernias taken care of. I just hope losing weight in order to get these surgeries doesn’t set me back too much.

Good luck, I went through the same and I'm 40, you can do this! Stay positive, avoid binge eating and once you can move just ease in by walking daily. Stay hydrated, avoid sodas and dead calories and sleep well. You will be back in action in no time.

Im 35 and my gallbladder was removed last year. I completely removed fat from my nutrition and went from 103 Kg down to 64Kg with 180cm. I do also have polyps and diverticulums and nearly every meal causes problems. To avoid problems i should take atleast one hour for a meal and eat in small bites, but i dont have time for that during work, so i avoid eating on weekdays and heavily depent on nutritional supplements. I still feel tired continuesly and used up all my fat reserves from the past, but it feels like another kind of tiredness because i feel better and fitter in general. I also started to cycle a lot and i feel way more attractive, which gives me new energy and makes me feel younger. I nearly died, and see this as a 2nd chance for a new life. I hope your surgery went well too, and you feel better! Best wishes!

Watching this made me realize I’m not alone. Currently I’m 15, 6’1” and 274lbs. I’m a big guy, and I also lack motivation. When I looked at that calculator it made it seem more simple. I’ve been trying for about two weeks to work out intensely to lose my fat, I know that it’s not going to happen fast. These workouts make me dread it everyday. Seeing as it took you 3 years, it seems to me that I should start taking it slower and focus more on this calorie deficit idea. Those pictures of you in the mirror is almost exactly how I look right now. Thank you for this video. You have actually motivated me when other ideas couldn’t.

Honestly, focus on your diet first, it's the quickest way to see results. I lost 35lbs in a year without any exercise at all, and while eating some junk every week. Try two decent meals per day that are very low carb, and have a cheat day if you have to. Do moderate exercise alongside this, but make it moderate enough that you don't feel inconvenienced working out. Treadmill + exercise bike is enough. Stick to it and it will soon become a shift in lifestyle (*not* a diet). Then you can up the exercise and add weightlifting. Everyone needs to tackle this psychologically first.

You've heard that Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead - it means He paid the price for your sins so you can be forgiven, saved and have a personal relationship with your Creator. All you have to do is be willing in your mind to have your life and heart changed, believe in your heart that Jesus rose from the dead and follow Him daily. But changing something completely about myself and the way I think about hunger and food, that’s been the hardest thing about the journey for me so far.

Did you know that you can go to Heaven for free? This one decision can change your life and eternity forever. Watch how the Holy Spirit moves in your life.. much love and God bless you!!

I highly recomend this video to anyone who wants to lose weight and also build a nice physique. These are the same things I'm doing and have seen amazing results. Follow this guys tips and I promise you that you'll reach your body goals. The best advice in this video is to do what works for you and what allows you to ENJOY the journey. Most people give up because their diet and workout regimen makes them sad, unhappy, feeling mentally and physically defeated in the process - even when seeing the results. You won't maintain this for long. So again, enjoy the journey. Best of luck! Thanks Thomas!

One small amendment with regard to cardio. There is a benefit to more intense cardio- which is increasing your VO2 max. You won't really do that doing LISS. You typically need to hit zones 3 and 4 to do that. I would recommend a mix of cardio that increases VO2 max while also doing LISS. Increasing my VO2 max from the low 30s (poor) to the 40s (good) helped me immensely. And, it helps everything- longevity, endurance, recovery, calorie burning, and even allows for your cardiovascular system to allow more volume lifting. Another small amendment, there are multiple 'splits' that will get you results. I'd actually advocate for 3 x full body or upper/lower splitting over 4 sessions over push/pull/legs (unless you want to have shorter workouts and do so 6x/week- where you do push/pull/legs/rest/push/pull/legs). Here's why- you'll hit every muscle group twice this way. Once is great, but twice to three times is much better. The research shows this to be the case. Other than that, congratulations on a non-BS guide to what actually works! I'm down almost 50 lbs from my peak.
@BlakeC341

I agree but this video seems tailored to providing a very sustainable approach for the average person. Let's be honest, incorporating intense cardio and 3 full body splits per week isn't going to happen from the average person.

this guy is spitting straight facts, i started cutting january first. dropped 50 pounds fast 250-200 in around 6 months (probably more as I was actively putting on loads of muscle), one thing i did find useful while i was losing weight is a light jog, along with looking in the mirror being able to visually see my progress and compete with my older self really kept me going. Since then I have added 70 pounds to my bench and shaved off nearly 10 minutes on my mile time!

Energy is NOT being converted into mass when you eat. When gaining fat, fat cells in the body store fat from the food directly or convert hydrocarbons from the food into fat. The energy is stored in chemical bonds, not in mass. E=mc^2 has nothing to do with these processes. But the first law of thermodynamics/the law of energy conservation is important in this case. When applied to the body it means that the body will break down fat if you eat less calories than you "burn".

I'm 5'2 so 2000 makes me gain weight. Used a calculator, and to lose weight I need to only eat 1100 calories daily🙂. Plus 60 minutes exercise (8-10k steps & calisthenics), and I can increase it to 1500 cal a day. I started tracking with a kitchen scale and calorie counter app. Was at 58kg a month ago now I'm at 56. Being in shape and healthy affects every area of your life. It's so much more than just being more attractive to girls/boys. Even 3 months in and I can feel my mind is sharper and my issues with lethargy have massively improved. The first 2-4 weeks I actually felt more tired as my body wasn't used to doing anything and it was going through withdrawals. After about the month mark it's like my daily energy tripled what is was before I started and the chronic brain fog lifted. Everything just feels easier and I feel better. I also already feel like I can regulate my emotions better.
