How I Find and Pitch Retailers for Wholesale

Hello! I just opened Faire store. I am working on my second wholesale order! I have my candles in 2 stores so far. Marketing is a lot of hard work and I've had several rejections. But I am keeping my head up! Thank you for a great video & info.

When I used to work real estate, I had a friend and very experienced and successful real estate agent once tell me that out of 100% pitches you may propose, only about 5-10% will be a yes. So to get 10 "YES" you need to at least pitch 100 times. It takes a lot of work. Great video Caitlin!

I swear you read my mind. I was actually approved last week about wholesaling in a soap and lotion store! I make fused glass soap dishes. I've been considering working on wholesaling this year, I have an application into faire, but I am still on the wait list. I was thinking about doing an email to an owner, with the offer of a pitch package, although I didn't understand that's what it was called. So I'm really glad that you mentioned that you make that offer and it's potential, because I was going to ask you. Thank you for this information, it's helped a lot

This is great video! I just got my first wholesale account 🎉 When pitching the $$ side on a later email are the sales based upon the calculation from how much they order from you and knowing your MSRP? This is a much later thing for me but curious how to calculate.

It’s not really that much of a formula…but I pitched 30 retailers the last 2 weeks and got 2 new accounts! Some weeks you may get more or less.
