SAME! I’m a sham who homeschools and manages everyone’s schedule and started two side hustles and I feel like i’m all over the place!
@williambermudez204Ай бұрын
I’m in the same boat. I have an office cleaning service at night, window cleaning/power washing by day and my shirt side hustle which I want to grow and make it my retirement job. Been doing the cleaning for 26 years and started the custom apparel right before Covid hit with my 15 needle Ricoma. I’ve always done the paperwork myself too and I’m also the landscaper for my house. I’m just used to all the craziness.
@BigBrandohАй бұрын
hahaa mannnn i heard that! working on the shirt business while running your other businesses is a good way to prepare for retirement. get it stable while you still have the safety net of your other successful businesses. good luck and keep winning. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

Great video! The best advice (relating to task management) I got from a gentleman who runs multiple businesses: "You have to unlearn multitasking so you don't get in your own way. When you multitask, you mix all your tasks together and you will end up short in one area or the other, its only a matter of when." I started this month trying to replace that habit in my line of work, by just becoming present with each task. Now I schedule my important appointments/deadlines on a calendar and list out what I need to get done to meet those deadlines. Every day, first thing in the morning, I will write down my daily tasks for my business and personal life. I prioritize them in order of what needs to get done first and then I focus on one objective at a time and if anything gets left out, it's things like "read a book for 15-30min" or "go for a 15min walk". So if I run out of time, I don't goto bed stressed & unfulfilled with what's left.

I needed this video so much. I appreciate you, fam. Very motivating. I try to write everything down. Time blocking my day helps. But I struggle with allowing myself to have time for myself. Rest, and refocus. Stepping outside on the current situation and regaining clarity on the reason why I started.
@BigBrandohАй бұрын
time for yourself is most important. we dont start these businesses to become slaves of our own business. we start these businesses for freedom. financial freedom and the freedom to whatever we want and answer to nobody hahaa. when i juggle my calendar, i always start with ME time. (time with my family, time to ride bikes, time to go to brewerys, time to go on motorcycle rides, time to travel) i make sure i fill those in first. then i fill business related stuff around that.
@bluecollarcanadaАй бұрын
This is wild timing. Just noticed the same thing too. Time management is important. I now work 8-4 on business (I work a full time job), I dedicate my days to specific things. Monday and Wednesday is content prep, marketing, R&D. Tuesday and Thursday is printing, packaging, shipping, clean up. Friday is tie up any open work from the week. It’s been huge in keeping me on track and focused. Finally being able to be a month ahead on content, is a huge relief and frees up a lot of time I can use elsewhere. Most importantly if I wanna take a day off I can.

Exactly! Thank you for reaffirming my exact situation and what I told my husband I needed to do to fix the situation. I'm tired of the scatter brain,drowning, and never getting caught up or ahead feeling. A calendar with set times for each task was the best way I could come up with to fix my time management problems.

I am all over the place. I just keep making stuff and only sell like 10% at markets since I am so paranoid of social media and don't have it. My husband tells me to stop making stuff and get social media going but I am an introvert who loves making things but suck at social media so I need to seriously focus on that. Thanks for the video to help me focus on what I really need to do.
@BigBrandohАй бұрын
Social Media is a tricky place to dive into. very over whelming and intimidating. The fear of the unknown. my only advice for you is to pick one of the social medias and just focus on that. dont worry about the others. learn how to use one and get yourself comfortable with it. i think every business should have a social media presence but start slowly. pick one, learn it, get comfortable and use it to your advantage.

So this is on point. We own 2 fishing lure manufacturing companies. I went full time about a year and a half ago. My wife works a full time job from home and helps when and where she can. She will be starting her own thing making tshirts and metal photo pictures and alot of other stuff. For now I do all 3 things and man I am running on less then fumes. This is a good idea just tough to see ur mind to do it. GRIND IT OUT

I am in the same boat; working a culture job, taking care of a toddler alone, and trying to run my small business smoothly. I trying to get into using a planner but it last about a week and then I'm back to. It using it and being all over the place. I really need to help to come up with a strategy to stay organized and run smoothly
@BigBrandohАй бұрын
sounds like this is a common issue with alot of people. maybe i'll figure out a way to make a video with some scheduling ideas that helped me out. its hard because my priorities are different than others and others priorities are different than mine but i'll see if i can make a video that speaks to everybody.
@simonsayzcreations9140Ай бұрын
@@BigBrandoh well I can help you out by staying my priorities fall in this order but doesn't happen this way LOL. Clearly go to my 9-5 but eventually want my business to be full time, pick up the toddler and get them ready for bed, then try to have enough energy to work on my business some. Priorities in regards to my business: make sure all my systems are in place as far as spreadsheets, accounting, and inventory management; making restock products; taking product photos; creating content for social media and scheduling them to post; and the lists go on lol

Michigan up in here My time management skills are trash and stretched thin is an understatement,I would have the day planned out on working then BOOM!!!! life happens,I even bring my laptop to work to do at Home WORK!!! Going over text conversations on orders,Designing/prepping files for to send out for digitizing,getting design ready to printing or ready to cut when I get off work,not to mention yard/house work and whatever my mom needs handled,I find myself in my office at 10p still in my work uniform still going at it unaware of time and keep in in mind I get off at 3:30p. It’s hard to delegate task to someone else because no one of going to attack it the way you attack it and see things through. It’s So Ruff So Tuff out here lol

I consider myself a “jack of all trades, master of none” type. I notice when I’m attempting everything I accomplish nothing. So I learned to focus on one thing at a time. For example, I have a rule against designing, cutting, weeding and pressing in the same day.

I also work a 8am to 4:30pm then go home and work on designs and orders. Then I have to digitize files and make plastisol transfers or rhinestone designs. I have a etsy store that's doing OK but not where I want it to be. I do htv also and use a graphtec ce7000-60. I went out and brought a new cameo4 that's still brand new in the box only used 1x . It's nothing close to graphtec so that's going up for sale. This video of gold

We appreciate you bro thank you for the insights and inspiration. For me I saved up enough to get into this business and quit my 9-5. I know it’s kind of irresponsible but I started making money when I was selling through events. Now selling online. But anyways I’m thinking if you really focused on just selling t shirts and your whole brand I think you’d go really far up there. Cuz you already know photography you know how to market you’re pretty well known. But I know it’s hard cuz you like your day job plus the family and all. But I think you’d be very successful in your clothing business if you put all your focus there. You know hire a website designer or whatever you call them.

thats kind of up to you and your situation. everybodys lives are different. if i gave you a sample of my schedule. Does riding bikes 3 times a week mean something to you? do you run a print shop, freelance graphic design, clothing brands and brand consultation? since your life is different than mine, whats important to you? what needs to be done? where does the money come in from currently? write down your priorities, write down whats lacking? pull out your calendar and balance your priorities against what needs more attention.
