How I Found a One Owner 50 Year Old Car | 1972 Ford Ranchero GT

I had a 1974 Ranchero that I bought used for $250 and drove it for 14 years until the frame rusted out and broke. I really loved that vehicle, great truck. The 1972 Ranchero was probably one of the nicest looking year. Bought the truck in 1985. Unfortunately, mine was a Rustchero.

Dude.. I love this story and your enthusiasm. I haven't looked yet to see if you have other videos but I already subscribed. Lol I have the exact same Ranchero gt. I also have a great story to go along with it. 😁 I'm almost 58. In 72 I was 7 years old. My dad's company car was a brand new 72 Torino. Same cool front end. I made up my mind that I was someday gonna drive a car like that Torino. I also had already planned on owning a Harley chopper. One day we're rollin'down the freeway in L.A. and behind us I see a green Torino like dads. I knew because of that distinctive nose. Well.. it pulled up next to us and it was a Ranchero! Holy cow man. I remember my 7 year old self thinking I could put my chopper in the back of the Ranchero. So that was it. I always wanted a 72. Over the years I've had a lot of choppers and a few Ranchero's. But 20 years ago I started a complicated relationship with my 72 GT. 351c 2v. All original except Cragers and an electronic ignition conversion. 55k miles right now. Right now, as I type this, I have my feet up in my green recliner in my shop, looking at that nose of the green ranchero of my dreams. My Harley is right beside it, but I hope I never have to put it in the back. But if I ever do, I know it'll fit. 🤘
