Danielle, this was great! I did a little bit of framing years ago for my cross-stitch but not as nicely as yours. I did not know about the dust cover trimmer. Your tips and tricks are so helpful and if you have the right tools, you can frame your pieces in no time. Love it! And !WOW! for the frame accent color! I would probably not have tried it myself. That is FANTASTIC! I have a feeling you are going to be trying to add that shimmery gorgeousness on as many surfaces in you home as you can! I am definitely going to try that paste. But, you got me thinking, as an artist, I have three products that are similar, Viva Decor Inks Gold, Rub N Buff, and Tonic Studios Embellishment Mousse. All three have several colors. Great frame! I adore that wax. I must have a dozen colors and I know I'll never finish one container. Couple of tips, it can dry out, but don't worry. Just break it up, add some water and mix it up until it's back to its thick paste. Add a small amount of water at a time. It'll be good as new. Also it can develop mold, even if its new. Just scrape it off and it's fine. I keep mine in a drawer away from the sun or possible heat. I've only had one develop mold and it happened to be on a shelf in front of the window.

Stick a pin through each corner of the diamond image and make a small dot on the back where they come through. Then you’ll ace it on the first try.

Have you considered using black paper for the backing? I use it when I'm framing and think it adds a more professional look. Gorgeous finish btw! Also if you don;t have a fancy finishing tool, you can use a sanding block and just sand the paper edges off

Gorgeous!! I like everything you did...it's beautiful. I've noticed you and others peel the backings and then place them back on to your canvases once you get the kit. Is there a reason for this? If you look under American Frame wood frame section and check by color, and then hit black, it will come up. They don't have that many frames. You will be able to find it.

Hi there, Need help with finding a frame size. The painting is 9 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches The canvas says 30*30cm Painting 24*24cm I'm just confused getting a right size frame for it. I looked at the frames in American Frame site. The one I chose came at to $65 some thing including the $15 shipping. Please help.

I alwaya measure the drill field, meaning where the diamonds are placed. I don't count the white border, as I cut that off. So according to your numbers you would need a frame that is 9 1/2 inches by 9 1/2 inches.

@@karenpozzi20 The sticky board was adhesive foam core that I ordered when I ordered the frame. When you order a custom frame from American Frame they give you the option of ordering foam core.
