Consider Brompton or similar folding bike (not ebike) as a part of your luggage. It is just a16kg bike that fits well in your luggage without any extra charges and helps alot in your inter city commutes.

As someone who has traveled a bit internationally, I can say that your advice is pretty good and spot on. One point I would like to add is that sometimes, going to your destination which may be near can be costlier than going to another destination which is farther away via your destination. Do search around. For instance, I found a return ticket to Jeddah from Islamabad to be costlier or similarly priced than a ticket to Cairo via Jeddah. You can get the ticket cheaper and add another destination to your trip. Similarly, while searching try to keep your dates flexible to find cheaper flights.
