I use to have bad acne and I learned less is more! Over cleansing your skin is terrible for you so keep it simple. Cerave cleanser, rose oil to moisturize and you're good to go!

Brand doesn't matter for those. And that's really it! Those are the most important :)

Every single foundation I have tried always looks cakey on me. I always moisturize and prime before I put on foundation but it still always looks cakey. I don’t even apply that much. It’s usually just one pump for my entire face. How do I stop this from happening?

skip the primer, I never cared for it personally. consider exfoliating once a week so it doesn't cling onto dry spots. Be sure to apply it in layers instead of all at once. You might also need a different foundation formula, perhaps a more creamy texture rather than liquid. That's why I switched to using Anita of Denmark's foundation. Not cakey at all :)

You can also try using a wet beauty blender. It prevents the foundation from becoming cakey.

I was in the same situation. The only way I'm satisfied with the result is by applying oil on my beauty blender before foundation. I don't know why but it works well for my dry skin ! (Using elf putty primer on dryer areas also helps a lot)

Sounds like you need a different product! I hate the feeling of most foundations until I started using Marilyn Monroe's foundation. Best thing ever! It's called Anita of Denmark dewy foundation. It puts all other brands to shame haha

I don't recommend putting it under the mascara because oil breaks up makeup, so your mascara will be under your eye after a few minutes, apply it at night
