Gorgeous! Just absolutely gorgeous, Tammy!! I would never have guessed your hair to be fine in texture. It's always so beautiful. My hair is fine, but I have much, much less. My mother is a hairdresser and she started perming my hair when I was TEN!! It did give me volume, but, as I began to age, and acquired the immune disorder, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis with resulting hypothyroidism, my hair started falling out in gobs. Is that a word? LOL. It became even more brittle than it always was. I quit perming it in 2007, and boy, was it hard to get used to. It's much more healthy. I had to go and lighten it, though, about 3 years ago. Bad idea. It's taken 3 years to grow it out and get back some healthiness. I was born a redhead, go figure. It started darkening a few years ago. I surmised it was the precursor to turning all gray. My father was completely white in his mid twenties, but his hair was so dark. I have resolved to just turn as it may, since harsh chemicals just fry it away. I have some gray at my temples, and some curly, course ones at the nape of my neck. I do use Matrix products, and too, like them. Big and Sexy has also been good for getting some lift at the root. Let's see, I have used Bumble and Bumble with fairly good results at volume and lift, too. Dear me, I try a bunch, here and there. And, I am way, way, way, too chatting. Sorry!! Brand new subscriber (I'm a lurker) and I have to ask, are you sure you're not Southern??? Haha, we Texas women love the big hair!! My hair used to be like yours, fine but plentiful...then came two babies and some health and stress issues and now, it's just fine! I have to say watching your videos over the past week I am inspired. I have always put my family first (married 19+ years with 18 and 14 yo sons) and in doing so, I neglected doing important things I shouldn't have for myself. So Miss Tammy, I am following your lead and putting myself up higher on my list of priorities. I'm DEFINITELEY going to do this. I can sorta get this look with a big barrel curling iron, but I haven't used hot rollers since I was a teenager in the 70's. It is difficult to find rollers that are all the same size, but I will look online for the brand you have and give it a try. BTW your hair again is gorgeous.

Great video! I love to watch your channel. You always have great information. I let my hair grow out this winter and I really love it. I am a big hair girl. I use hot curlers. A product I have been using that really works great for me is Tresseme Curl Locking Spray. I spray it in my hair and comb it through with my wide tooth comb. Then put my curlers in. It holds my curl all day. It also seems to help keep my ends from getting so dry.

Tammy, I love this video. I used to have alot of fine hair and now I just have fine hair. Even though I color my hair it still is fine. I have always used hot rollers since I was a teen. I recently was so dissapointed with a hot roller set I purchased from Ulta but I didn't keep the box. The rollers were 1.5 in and just too heavy for me. I have a set just like you are showing here too and use those the most. They are not heavy. I think my mistake is brushing my hair upside down after taking the rollers out. I have alot of layers though and it makes a big difference (more layers than I really want). I wish I could wash my hair daily but I always fear my color coming out earlier but it is permanent color so I really shouldn't worry so much. Seems like my hair sheds alot in spring and summer. I don't know if that is normal but I take hair skin and nail vitamins daily with extra biotin.

I use a very similar routine, however I do not own hot rollers. I use velcro rollers. It scares my husband when I first take my hair out of the rollers! But it does fall fairy quickly and then It's usually more his liking, just full of body and lift. I totally agree with you about hair. What a difference in our attitude and demeanor when we're having a great hair day. That's why I will splurge, if on nothing else, my hair. Thanks (not so crazy) Miss Tammy. Hey Tammy! After reading some comments from a recent video of yours, many said they were so distracted by that beautiful hair, they couldn't focus on what you were saying! You need a disclaimer for your hair.... Warning: This hair may cause serious distraction! (LOL!) I'm a Texas girl, and have always loved big hair. I think it's in my DNA. And take it easy on that rotator cuff. I messed mine up in massage school several years ago, and like you, refused surgery. I was able to get great results from a heated pool. LOL...I color my hair every 4 weeks...it's a must, I am 85% white....I get highlights only once ever couple of years...usually in the summer months...I also low light in the fall from all the lightening the summer months do...it is most important to work with your skin tone when coloring your hair..Warm skintones: Warm Golden Blonde Cool tone Pale: think Baby blonde, cool but not so fair: try a cool blonde ! Finally, always always mask your hair...especially if you are highlighting ....we need to put moisture back into our hair...hope this helps

You have given me some hope that I will be able to get some volume with my long hair, Tammy! I don't have any layers, and my hair is on the dry side as well. I just got a new curling wand and fat iron, but I will have to break out my old hot rollers as well! My main issu these days (the one that really makes me want to spit!!!) is the frizziness I have with mostly the front of my hair (my grown out bangs,especially). I think it is due to the change to almost 50% grey now, and the amount of medication I am currently taking. If you have any products that specifically help you with that, I would love to know what help you!! I have exhausted a lot of things that has been useless for me! It would look better chin length, but my husband likes long hair. ( so do I ) Well by watching your videos, I realized, for my hair it's ok to wash it every day. I do exactly what you do and have done the same for years. I am probably boring, but I like this feminine style and I find it to soften my overall face appearance. I have worn out 4 of the Babylyss curling sets through the years, but traveled the world with them so guess they had it rough in my suitcase. I have very silky thin hair, and as we age we loose a lot of hair too, so these days it is as if my hair likes absolutely nothing no matter what I do. You have such wonderful hair products in America, any suggestions? Particularily on volume and strength? (ordered the Phyto vitamins you once suggested from the UK and it has made a visible change in both hair and nail growth, so I am hooked on them he, he).
