About 8 months after I stopped washing my hair so much it got super healthy, therefore I was able to let it grow long. The less I do, the better it looks. Less heat, less products, less shampooing.

How many Times a week we should wash hair,to get healthier hair?

Same, I wash my hair about every 4 - 5 days and its not even greasy by then, my hairs gone from collar bone length to my chest within 6 months. And I only have a trim every 4 months and usually have no split ends.

@@cup_noodles4788 happily haha but you do have to invest a bit of money at the start then it gets cheaper, so first off I only wash my hair every 4 - 5 days, this took a while too achieve and a lot of dry hair shampoo, first wash it every other day then after a while every 3 days etc. I use a clarifying shampoo first to cleanse my hair of any product or build up. Then I use hair burst shampoo and conditioner, Lee Staffords hair growth mask and hair burst chewable biotin, but I only take 2 a week as it can give you cystic acne. But because there is 100 in a tub they last me a year and because I don't need to wash my hair often then the products last longer, and when you blow dry your hair try using briogeo blossom and bloom root lifting blow dry spray as it soaks up excess oils in between washes. Hope this helps x

@MsMVH
@MsMVH 5 жыл бұрын
@@sarahpenna262 WHERE is the 'rule' that her hair is too long?! Your explanation is illogical. It's gorgeous and healthy and the statement you made is hardly objective at all. Women should be supporting each other not imposing irrational rules for reasons other than the imposition of them. I rarely comment on anything but I had to insert my opinion here.
@sarahpenna262

MVH I never said it was a "rule" ... that's your hasty mis-reading of my comment !! IMHO, despite its beautiful condition , I feel it is few inches too long for Tammy's face . I am ALWAYS the first to support women. I was in fact a lone voice , at the time , encouraging Tammy not to go gray . Was interesting , when she did re-color her hair how everyone agreed the gray didn't suit her!!!! Go figure that one !!!

After that using the shampoo and conditioner for the first time, I can’t believe the healthy, full volume look it’s given me. I was so impressed I have ordered the moroccanoil mask to try, no doubt it will be fabulous. I’m hoping with constant use over time my hair will get even better. @Ivy Schneberger I'm keto too, but that won't stop your hair from falling out after menopause if that's your genetics. I had waist-length hair until I turned 60, then half of it fell out literally overnight. Some of it grew back, but not all of it. I started using monoxidil and that helped a lot, but I have a small bald spot on top of my head that never grew back and another where my swirl was. Other than that, my hair is shiny and naturally brown, almost no gray hairs, so it isn't that I'm unhealthy. In fact, I'm one of the few people my age who are on no prescription meds at all.

Colleen Adams... I have hair that is longer than to my waist... I used to make one braid for sleeping, however, I have found that using hair sticks works much better. I just learned from a KZbin video how to twist my hair until it curls up on itself at the back of my head. Then I put in two hair sticks to hold it tight all night. I use the little "orange sticks" that are sold for manicure use as they are the perfect size and grip so well to hold all night. Hair sticks are more gentle on the hair than elastics. I just love them...

I enjoyed the tips and seeing the products that you use - will be looking into buying some of them, as well as the hot rollers (haven't use those since the early 90s LOL). The only thing I will not be doing is washing my hair daily - I stopped doing that years ago and find my hair is much healthier. I can go up to 3 days without washing. Anything longer than that and I have to use dry shampoo, which I try to avoid for the reasons you mentioned. Will see how long my hair can stay non-greasy with using the products you use. Thanks!!!

I love Tammy, so I say this in the spirit of what works for me: Sadly I don't have that kind of time. Maybe our Tammy can post a "quickie hair styling vid" for us -and perhaps a "day 2 hair" tips vid would be fabulous! I have wavy/curly frizzy, thinning( and now color treated) hair, I Def. cannot wash daily or I'd have a brillo pad a'top me head, lol!😜 P.S. I bought the brush & babyliss bio dryer (& did a hair mask) & my hair looks better than it has in 10 years. Thanks Tam!!❤

I love what you said about the flat irons. My daughter is 28 and from the time she was probably 16-17 years old she has used the flatiron to straighten her gorgeous curly hair. As a result she had tons of breakage along the top of her head on both sides of her part. Now it’s growing back and she has all this short new growth standing straight up. She wishes she had listened to her mom. Occasionally we do know what we are talking about...lol.

You have beautiful hair. I have close to the exact same hair as you, same length. I don’t wash it every day, I use good shampoo and conditioner and blow dry with a good heat spray prior, then always use an oil to smooth on bottom. My hair looks great for days, I would never have the time to do what you do. Never use hairspray. Wash at night and twist in clip to sleep as I have to be ready to get to work in the morning! Hot rollers, some days also, that’s it and done :-)

Because dry hair is very porous so water comes and goes easily. Now amount of sealing products will keep the moisture in long enough to go several days without washing and the oil treatments prevent hair breakage from the daily washing.
