Great video! The LESS detail at the beginning of meetings with a client the better! This can be easily done with programs like Rebelle for a more painterly look too. Great tip to use colors in the Sketchup model to select areas for painting later, this save hours... Try using the Shadows layer in MULTIPLY mode.

Very good, I have actually built entire finished renderings by layering various elements, really works great. Thanks for the refresher course, Great Job. I am now using Affinity Photo 2 vs Photoshop.

I see that now when watching a video on the new features of SketchUp 2024... looking forward to using that. It’s already time to remake this video and use Ambient Occlusion with your digital sketch technique.

Hello, while following your steps I have come across a problem. I have a model of an interior with the ceiling on. I wanted to get the 2d graphic of just the shadows. I turned on Hidden Line style and shadows, turned off edges and profiles. I played around with different UTC times but all I get is a whole white or grey screen, never one with detailed shadows of furniture. Can you please help me with this?

Post this to our forum at forums.sketchup.com/ and tag me @eric-s and I'll do my best to troubleshoot.
