I’d never heard that about David Bowie. I think there are some problems with interpreting events from a very different time through today’s cultural lens. Looking this up, it sounds like he was with a willing groupie who was not that much younger than he was, even if it would be considered statutory rape. I really wouldn’t call that predatory behavior. As a teenage girl, if I had had access to David Bowie I think I would consider myself the predator. 😊 Doesn’t make it right, but…doesn’t make him some kind of pedophile either. Coincidentally, I had just come to your channel because earlier today my playlist landed on Bowie’s incredible song “Cygnet Committee,” and as I listened to it for the first time in way too long (but I still remembered every word!), I thought: wow, has Pope heard this one? My recommendation: Take a big eraser to the “predator” thoughts and give it a listen, whether on or off the channel. Congrats on 20K!

He never denied that he made many mistakes, he used drugs in his former years and he lived in the flowerpowertimes. But he developed to be a very special and adorable person.
