the test stage always humbles me down to earth after thinking I've got it all, but hey the more we learn.

Sorry but this is english related. With english cgp books, how can i do note taking on them. Many people say to read it the first page and memorise it, then write it down on a notebook? do you believe in this method or is an alternative way?

I've been trying to implement this but covering the whole spec for each science thoroughly using flashcards is so time consuming. And it leaves me no room to practice questions or even review my flashcards . Do u have any way around this
@shiggs33 Жыл бұрын
The more u practice the better u get at making flash cards. If u really feel like there’s not enough time, id say skip notes and go straight to flash cards. Watch my flash card video i explain how to use them most efficiently.

@Shigss SalamuAlaikum, aren't notes seen as time wasting and ineffective? Like for example I have CGP Guides for all sciences so Instead of wasting time making notes I can just use the CGP Guides. For Flashcards I personally use Anki and I make them throughout watching a video and I also use CGP & the SPEC so I can make sure I make the best flashcard I can. Im thinking of going through all of the content by watching videos and throughout that make flashcards. AFTER I do ALL THAT, I'll then move onto practise questions. Q's I get wrong ill just visit that topic again and recap it by watching a video and then blurt afterwards for active revision. I'm also worried I don't have much time to do this because there's only 4 months left. What do you think?

Walaykum Al Salam. I get why u call them time wasting. Me personally, I make notes then I use those notes to make flash cards for spaced repetition. Because I’m revisiting the content more than once, it becomes easier to memorize. But if I’m short on time, I would stick to only making flash cards because they’re more effective. Also 4 months is way more than enough time. If you put in 30 mins a day you’ll smash it without that much effort bc most ppl start like 3 weeks before.

@@shiggs33 But is it enough time to go through ALL the content for maths,3 sciences, English lit & geography and also have enough time to practise?
@shiggs33 Жыл бұрын
@@jouad5611 wa iyak. From my experience especially in science, it takes like 30-45 mins max to go through the content of a chapter. If u do an hour a day u can finish 2 chapters a day, so you’ll be done w all the content within like a month or 2, giving u 2 months to practice. Don’t overthink it bro just start putting in the work 💪🏽

@@shiggs33 When you say chapter, do you mean like a WHOLE topic. For example Cell Biology. Is that what you mean? And if yes please tell me how I can do it in the time you stated. How!?

Yo how long would you recommend to study daily?

Also since I’m a foundation tier student is the difficulty gap huge between foundation and higher tier

Hard question to answer. It should be up to you bc u know urself best. Study enough to make sure ur at the ur target grade, and make sure ur studying is efficient

Idk too much about foundation tier so I really can’t answer that question I’m sorry.
