Hi Arnav, a question could you also make a video about how to get a 9 in computer science specailly practical as there aren't many videos on that topic. Thanks.

Hi can you please try make a video on how to improve in further maths gcse? My grades are always stuck at 6/7 but I would like to get to 8/9! Also Love the vid!

i may do in the future, but for id give very much the same advice as i do for maths - theres just more content and id say to prioritise past papers even more :)

Hey Arnav. Love these videos, they're very helpful. Just a few questions. When will your other GCSE flashcards appear on your website? Also, what did an average day of revision look like for you?
@arnav-prasad11 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for the kind words :) Unfortunately I never created complete decks for all content in most subjects. There are some gaps in the decks I haven’t uploaded, but I may put them up for free as there’s still a lot of useful stuff in them and they’re great flashcards. As for an average day… haha well I was quite bad at sticking to the revision schedules I made or any rigid structure for that matter, but closer to my final GCSEs I would do a combination of making/reviewing Anki cards, looking at mistakes I made in past tests, writing/planning answers to past paper qs, etc. I would also do timed practice for subjects I found time-pressured. My revision for each subject looked quite different. The number of hours you revise isn’t important and shouldn’t be compared with other people’s, its more about how much content you can cover using effective methods-for me, this looked like using Anki, or covering up sections in a textbook after reading and trying to say what i remembered out loud, then repeating to fill gaps. There are a bunch of other creative ways to fit active recall into your revision. Anyway, I did that fairly regularly, especially for topics I was shaky on. I would certainly suggest using a revision timetable (especially a retrospective one, see this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGjSYWyXbNlniKMsi=lbwwVybwRMOdU7qg) to make sure you’re on track to cover everything in time. Keep going and good luck :)

Hey Omg tahnks for sharing this video with us ! im currently at a grade 6 and want to achieve 8 in my maths GCSE. Is there something that you would strongley reccomend after doing maths geneie because i have completed the topic questions and the past PAPERS FROM 2018. I struugle to think differently in the exam. like apparently you are ment to look at the question from a differnt perspective to see what application fits the best and honestly im literally struggling with that. What would you reccomend ?

I would suggest watching walkthrough videos for questions/topics you find tough on KZbin channels. There are some great channels linked in the description!

And bc I’m at college I only have maths once a week also I’m the only one doing higher in my college so I do grade 1-4 work in class because of that
@arnav-prasad10 ай бұрын
Despite your challenges, you can definitely still get the top grades if you set your mind to it. Create a revision plan for how you will cover all the 6-9 topics independently (using the topic lists I have linked), and use KZbin tutorials, textbooks, and/or other online resources to learn the content. Definitely go to your teachers for help if you get stuck on a concept. Start regular practice now using the websites I mention, making sure that you mark your work. Revisit revision resources if you don't understand your mistakes. You may find it useful to use the heatmap I have linked also, as it shows the most frequently assessed topics. Start with these, as well as your least confident topics. Best of luck!

how do i check what topics could come up in the maths papers
@arnav-prasad11 ай бұрын
Usually, all papers can include any topics from across the spec, with the obvious exception of questions requiring calculators being in the non-calc exam. If you’re talking about finding a topic list, have a look at the specification (eg. AQA, Edexcel, OCR) for your exam board online. These can sometimes be hard to read/understand because of the technical language, so you can equally search for a checklist online like this one for Edexcel: www.mathsgenie.co.uk/gcse2023.html
