All the tips: Pomodoro technique, study with others, todo list, find your own effective way to take notes (Notability, annotate on slides e.g.), figure out how to maximize learning in class, repetition in different ways (e.g, your own lecture notes, recitation, other lecture notes, textbook), for tests: take notes from textbooks, go over all homework and recitations, practice tests, don’t fall behind (e.g. go over lecture material before lecture) Thanks, Sarah!

Interesting, congrats on good grades. I have used some of these strategies. One strategy I've come up with involves trying to solve difficult math/physics problems. It can be beneficial to think of test problems as learning how to do backflips on a trampoline. There is fear and danger of landing on your neck that play into developing this skill. Could start by jumping and landing on back horizontally, move to trying to backflip on knees rather than jumping since there is less downward force. Try to get 180+ rotation is important. This translates into studying by focusing on techniques over a longer period of time rather than developing the skill all at once. Brushing up on prerequisite fundamentals can save time imo. Studying/problem solving w/ rigorous writing for 12 hours a day is hell and really shouldn't be necessary unless its for a test.

Honestly, the "myth" of "studying MORE HOURS will give you HIGHER MARKS" is completely wrong in my opinion because it makes people fall into the misconception that HOW you study is not as important as HOW HARD you work. I have friends who do like 40, 50 hrs per week 'blindly' because they do believe that the myth is true. However, the long amount of hours they've dedicated to their learning could have been utilized so much more effectively with better study techniques rather than just the "re-reading/re-writing notes",....A lot of students just get it wrong due to the lack of reflection they pay towards their study techniques or even going through the mistakes they made previously on a test/practice papers and go over them carefully since they're just like obsessed with "the number/the quota/ the amount" rather than the actual quality behind the things they do. Also, I appreciate the tips!!!! A perfect GPA at MIT is awesome! I highly agree with the way you prepare before going to a lecture, I do that too and it's so much better to have a bigger picture of what you're going to learn about then all the explanation from your professors, textbooks,... just "automatically fill in the gaps". ^^

I saw his 2 videos on how he and his friend became first at cambridge, however everyone should take into account that those are advices from a med stud and doesn't generalize for other degrees, what I mean is that you wouldn't find his videos useful as a Stem student (*just an advice if you have considered buying his course*) :)
Don’t go back to school before doing these 5 things.
