Hey Tony. I’ve been watching your channel for a long time. Since the days you were sponsor in the fitness community. Felt like it was a sign you dropped this video because I’ve been hitting a plateau in my lifts and a dead end in studying Japanese for the JLPT - Japanese Language Proficiency Test. Whether it’s physical therapy or Japanese, you’re someone I deem to be wise beyond his years. To hear your studying habits and input in your own voice will help me push through my obstacles. I just know it. “Thank you” just seems too little to express my gratitude but… Thank you nonetheless. As always, May Your Heart Be Your Guiding Key~ I’ll give you an update at a later time. Be safe and be well! ❤️🙏✌️

Thank you! PTA new grad here! I'm taking the NPTE here in a few weeks and I just keep getting really overwhelmed with all of the content. I test well, but I was always a crammer and I'm very anxious about this test.

Typical PT’s exam simulations were spot on with the real NPTE, and their daily quizzes and performance tracking kept me sharp. I passed in July 2024, and I found TrueLearn to be quite disappointing compared to Typical PT’s realistic format. The notepad feature and detailed explanations were huge helps in organizing and understanding the material.

Dr. Tony Do!! I been watching your videos back when you were still putting out your TDO footy episodes!! Thank you for your content back in the day and even now! I was a young Asian American in MN trying to find content creators I could relate to and you were my number 1. You put me on to the concept of IIFYM and motivated me to workout and eat healthy. It's been so awesome watching you grind out your profession all these years. Truly. I wish you the best in your endeavors and hopefully our paths cross professionally someday (im a med student considering sports med)!! I'll always will be a fan. You really helped me through some tough times. Peace brother.

Typical PT’s custom quiz feature was a game-changer for me. I could create tailored practice sessions that really helped. Passed the NPTE in July 2024, and although Peat and TheraypED are solid, TrueLearn didn’t live up to expectations. Typical PT’s notepad feature and detailed explanations made my study sessions way more effective.

I can’t recommend Typical PT enough! Their notepad feature was super handy for jotting down notes and ideas, and their detailed explanations made complex topics clear. I passed the NPTE in April 2024, and Peat and TheraypED were decent, but Final Frontier didn’t justify the investment. Typical PT’s explanations and notepad feature were game-changers for my study routine.

Huge shoutout to Typical PT! Their question bank is massive, and the detailed explanations were a lifesaver. I passed the NPTE in April 2024, and Typical PT’s explanations made a huge difference. I also loved the notepad feature for jotting down key points while studying. Tried Final Frontier too, but it didn’t compare to Typical PT’s level of detail and utility.

Something to keep in mind for viewers, a 800/800 isn't indicative of a 100% on the exam. This is only the highest scaled score the FSBPT reports. From what I've heard, you only need a 90-92% on the RAW score to obtain an 800 on the SCALED score (ie ~180/200). The scaled scoring system is highly sensitive to scores around the 600 mark, and becomes more irrelevant once scores go below ~550 or above ~650. To put this into perspective, the difference between a ~575 and a ~600 is about 8 questions, while the difference between a 775 and an 800 may only be 1-2 questions. After about 180 questions answered correctly, the scaled scoring algorithm does not compute any further progress with correct items.
@TonyDo2 жыл бұрын
It definitely is scaled based on the results from the set of people you’re taking the exam with that date across the US. Regardless, very difficult to do!

Thank you so much this clarifies a lot!

I just pulled up my report as it was released today. Mine also said 800 but I know I missed 2 questions. Albeit, they were easy questions. But I still received an 800 because my photo also states 800. I'm trying to confirm that because it seems surreal. I walked out confident I failed.

LOL. That’s was me, though I was CONVINCED I failed 😂😂. Scaled score, so even if you did get a few wrong that score is accurate. Congratulations!!!

Hey Tony, I’m giving my NPTE in this July I wanted some tips on how I should remember the main concepts because after giving the practice tests my score is not too good.

Study each question from the practice tests numerous times. Why was the right answer the right answer. Why was the wrong answers wrong.

Hey Tony, I'm taking the NPTE in April. Do you suggest just using either study guide books you mentioned alone or also going back and reviewing old notes?
@TonyDo2 жыл бұрын
Id recommend choosing one of those books and focusing on that as your primary tool, and then using old notes to supplement as needed.

I would sell it if you’re interested, however I think you may get more out of making your own. Email me if you’re interested, however. Email in description box of this video.

Aspiring physical therapist here! Would it make sense to get the o’sullivan textbook and some of the other resources at the beginning of my program and studying it little by little over the course of my 6 year program?

I don’t think it’s really worthwhile or needed. Just focus on the program and save it for the end.

Can you tell me from your experience what is a better pre physical therapy major? Exercise Science (kinesiology) or human health physical therapy option
@TonyDo3 жыл бұрын
I have a video on my channel titled something along the lines of “what to know as a pre physical therapy student”. I would recommend you watch that as I go into detail about requirements. To answer your question, either will work. What’s more important is you have the pre requisite classes that your school of interest requires. Of course you want to do as well as possible GPA wise too with chosen major. Good luck!
