HOW I GOT AN A* + 2ND HIGHEST MARK: A-LEVEL ECONOMICS (NO TEXTBOOKS)

So I'm back filming againnn!!!!
This one is for my struggling A-Levels students (we've all been there LOL)!! I thought I'd share how i got an A* and the 2nd highest mark in Economics in my school's cohort. Economics is absolutely doable, trust me. Put in the work, be patient with yourself and you'll do well. I hope you find this video helpful!

Don’t worry, i feel like many of us struggle with economics when we’ve just started the course because it’s completely new to us. I thought it would be easy but really struggled in first year. However, as you progress through the course your knowledge builds up and it’s much easier to see how everything fits in together and is linked. Now I’m in my second year and get A*s every assessment. Good luck!

I’m currently taking maths business and art but I just am struggling with maths so I dropped it and took eco instead. The thing is I have no idea about eco as I never did it in GCSE and me switching now will make me fall even behind for eco. However I did do business at GCSE and got an A*... i don’t know if that’s helpful enough either.

Heyyy I also dropped maths for eco at A level after 1 month because I wasn’t enjoying it. I had never done eco before and just like you I also did business studies GCSE. So I had to catch up as I was a month behind and it worked out perfectly in the end. My business studies knowledge definitely helped me It’s a bit tricky in your case because you dropped it after 1 year so that means you have to complete a 2 year course in 1 year which might be a bit much. A lot of factors will go into this for example; if you are willing or able to repeat year 12 so that you can start from scratch, your ability to manage and finish the whole eco course in 1 year, the availability of extra support from your teachers etc. So I’d suggest you speak to your teachers and weigh your options✨

@@scillaasa oh no, it’s almost been a month into year 12, I changed it to eco recently. I’m doing Oxford international aqa exam board for it. I just sometimes have difficulty in the graphs or the structure for the 20 markers but apart from that, it’s going great!

Ahhh I thought you said you were in Year 13 my bad. That’s great then, very similar to my situation. It was a bit tough at the start but make sure to catch up, keep practising, use your teachers and you’ll get amazing grades in the end✨

Sis recently I-have gave my A2 economics exam p3 and on section B there was answer any 2 questions so I have answered those questions but I didn’t maintain any serial like first I wrote the answer of Q.6 B(13marks) then Q.2(25marks) after that Q.6 A(12marks) like this.So will there be any problem 😰?

From what I understand, this is a question pertaining to your exam script? If yes, then I cannot give you much advice on this as I do not have any experience with marking exam papers. I’d advise you to speak to your econ teachers instead✨

I have Y12 January exams tomorrow (in class not hall) for economics. After seeing this im confident I know what to do to succeed and get good predicted grades, however the tests tomorrow so not much I can do - how much do January exams affect your predicted grades in year 12? Surely they can't mean much as we've only covered like 10% of the spec

its hard to give you a definitive answer to that as different schools operate differently so I'd advise you to ask your teachers. All the best
