Kind of relate but not ?😭. I did fine in GCSE , just completed AS mocks (also doing bio chem and geography) and did TERRIBLE in everything besides geography . At this point i just realised i want to do dentistry, im doing work experience , finally putting in the work but now probably wont make it bc of my predicted grades smhh 😭

Im pretty sure you went to handsworth because I recognised the logo instantly (I went there too for secondary) and I was wondering because I haven't found an answer yet... is med with foundation year only available for wider access students?

Yeee I went HGS for secondary, we love to see it 😭 but yes it’s mainly for wider access, I believe that was the point of the foundation year - however you never know unless you check eg they take into account post code, area etc.

Depends, you would still have to meet entry requirements needed, I don't think its possible to just switch immediately ^

Just to clarify, what was your ucat score and if it was low as well,was that a problem? xx

My UCAT score was 2420, so 605 average - I still managed to get 3/4 interviews for the normal 5 year medicine course. Long story short, UCAT score is only one of the things that matter, as long as you apply strategically and everything else is good then it'll be fine^^ hope that helps

I am a Gambian who is finally travelling to the UK to join family during my senior secondary examination that is WASSCE I got B3 Good in Biology C5 credit in chemistry and C6 credit in Maths. 1. Can I get to UK university with such grade. 2. Do I need UCAT and WASSCE for UK medical school application or UK A-levels result UCAT for my UK medical school application. Heyyyy Omg, this is literally me. I came here when I was 15, but had already done my WAEC in Nigeria already. So I basically started sixth form in this country, I still did my UCAT and ALEVEL exam but what I’m thinking is to apply to university that allow low gcse grades or apply with foundation year.

Hi, I'm not entirely sure but I do still think you need UK results UCAT to apply for a UK medical school. I would say do more research on the matter also just in case^ I hope this helps

@@rosaalnds Hi mel, yes I'm sure you can do medicine with combined science - I had to do triple but I'm sure either combined or triple can apply - at the end of the day I think it depends on the grades? I would say look into it however, but there shouldn't be a problem ^
