@whitelabratАй бұрын
In ballet this is old. Not just because age is a factor but because injury is a factor. Its like a lot of professional sports... your body is done by the time you hit 30 for most people. For the rest of your life you will deal with the consequences of pushing your body hard till you hit 30. I think the only sport I worked in where the career expectancy was more than around 28-32 was hockey where some good players play until 40.

Hi Ms. Eva! I'm about a year younger than you and watching you and your ballet journey is really inspiring. I hope you don't mind me telling you a small story. When I was younger, I was always made to believe that I was too fat or too uncoordinated to even try ballet. I didn't try to question my mother's reasoning but I was always so sad that I couldn't join the ballet kids after school because there was a ballet center right there on campus in our music center! As I grew older, I got into show choir and eventually musical theater where I was told that I actually can dance really well if I set my mind to it. I loved dancing whenever I had the chance to do it. But the one thing I was always yearning for was ballet. And I thought it was too late to even try. Fast forward to me discovering your videos of Master Ballet Academy and then your own journey of learning ballet. The thing that struck me most was that you were only a year older than me. It made me think... maybe it's not too late? And as I kept watching you improve and persevere and even laugh at yourself when you made mistakes, it has given me a lot of courage to admit to myself that I want to start ballet too. I still unfortunately don't have the money to go to adult ballet classes or proper training just yet but I wanted to first thank you for reigniting a long forgotten passion of mine that I discarded. I am so happy to see you take a big stage in a large ballet show with the most amazing people. I hope to one day be on stage dancing ballet too. And it will all be because I watched you and thought "anything is possible."
@amyralls6218Ай бұрын
I hope you do follow your passion and get into an adult ballet class. Sometimes, the places that provide adult ballet classes will do a trade out for at least part of the cost for classes for helping clean the studio, assisting with costumes, etc. Talk to the head of the school! The worst thing is they say "no"!

That foundation is thicc especially for someone who never wears makeup. @@VisionaryGardenerin everyday life I agree that she doesn’t need any makeup. However for the stage those lights will wash you out if you don’t look caked. She still is absolutely gorgeous though!

For a flawless foundation, dampen your beauty blender before applying. To prevent eyeshadow fallout, try using under-eye patches. An eyeshadow primer is essential for preventing fading. Setting your foundation with a translucent powder (baking) can significantly improve its longevity, especially during a performance. Finally, a setting spray will lock your entire look in place. Best of luck with your show!

I don't enjoy foundation, powder, etc. Stage makeup needs to be seen from a distance though and yours looked great. (Note: maybe try a pencil on your lips with just a gloss, or a lip stain and that might be longer lasting and more comfortable 😁) Break a leg, ❤️!

I hate how makeup feels, too. The only foundation I can live with is powder, no creams at all. I'm also allergic to all the things. The only one I don't seem to react to is Physicians Formula powder (oh, it SO isn't pretty if i use something I'm allergic to - we're talking blistered hives). If you hate creams and liquids, maybe try a powder foundation instead. They are way lighter and don't feel like paint.

I am 52. Still do not use makeup. Even when I attempted it all I used was eyeliner, mascara, and sometimes a natural lip stick. I am still pretty much a tom boy, but it was not even that. I do not like make up and it irritates my skin and eyes. It is why I stopped using it completely. Now there is nonsense like fake eyelashes etc. For the show it is understandable. But keep it as natural as you have been. More females should. They will have healthier skin and mindsets.
