You should do a before and after FIT. Like, compare your work from when you submitted your portfolio to now where you are on your 4th semester.

Your drawings are good! I on the other hand don’t even know how to draw! And wanted to apply for a fashion major 🤦🏻‍♀️ little did I know I had to draw and sow for the portfolio

I promise practice goes a long way! look up tutorials on KZbin or take some local art and sewing classes. I recommend zoe Hong on KZbin for drawing tutorials 😊

awe thank you!! One thing that all my professors have really emphasized, is having a strong concept for your designs. I would say do alot of research (could be anything, books,movies,art, architecture) until you find something that really inspires you. once you find that it will be so much easier to create something unique! just remember they aren't expecting you to be perfect. Also neatness and having everything cohesive is SO important!!!💗

Yes for sure! just work extra hard on your portfolio and essays! FIT (at least when I applied) did not take SAT scores into consideration when accepting students. But maybe still mention the achievement of having a high sore in your essay 😊

You can only apply to a Ass as a firt years student, once you spend your second year you can re apply to the bachelors program

April 1st. I was waitlisted, so I got that letter April 1st. Then may 20th I recieved my acceptance letter 😊

They focus a lot on fashion figures. I would definitely try if you could to include it. But I would say you can definitely get in without having figures in your portfolio 😊
