Learn this very important lesson now, young ones! The absolute best medicine is ethyl-alcohol containing beverages. Sometimes you have to put your textbooks aside and use your Goddamned brain. No wonder delicious-tasting ethanol-containing beverages are sold everywhere from drug stores to liquor stores, grocery stores, convenience trains, bars, clubs, pubs, taverns, nightclubs, planes, trains… You name it. Next step is getting it into the hospital. It would help the patients if they were prescribed a few beers and a hard seltzer and had a nurse bring it to them.

Go Heels!! For secondaries, it definitely varied. I'd say I averaged more time and energy on the personal statement, but the secondaries are critical, so I did definitely invest significant time on making sure that my messages were clear. It also partly depended on the school. Feel free to reach out if you want to chat more about any of this (I'd put my email but I don't want to get it taken over by spam bots, so please send me a message on LinkedIn if you'd like to talk further [www.linkedin.com/in/benjamin-gorman-2022/]).

How much do you think being an undergraduate at UNC helped your application? I'm planning on graduating from a non-competitive school with a biology degree and, assuming that I have all the extra-curriculars and a high GPA, I'm curious what my med-school options look like.
@sahithreddy996 Жыл бұрын
Hey bro, I am not in medical school nor did I even start the application process but I can help comfort you here I think. A good family friend of mine graduated from the University of Southern Indiana which is not a competitive school in the slightest (you can check the stats required to get in yourself). He ended his 4 years of undergrad with a good GPA and extremely solid extracurriculars like publishing multiple studies in high end medical journals. He also work extremely hard for the MCAT and I think he got around a 525. He got interviews to many top schools and he is going to matriculate into Harvard Medical School for the 2023-2024 school year. Don't be discouraged, your undergraduate institution doesn't define you. What defines you is how willing are you to create opportunities for yourself. That's certainly the mindset and work ethic I will maintain during my pre-med journey.
