I watched some other Howard videos and they said that Howard looks more at extracurriculars and service so focus on being In clubs and just adding stuff to your resume that will make you stand out also still study and work hard on your grades and sat/ act, just don’t stress your self out to much. I’m a junior as well and this year is kicking my ass but ima make it through cause I wanna go to Howard too 😂 anyway I hope this helps ❤️

hey! i loved ur video and have a dream of attending howard. i’m extremely nervous, however, that i do not stand a chance. i’m a junior in high school currently and would say i have a nice gpa, a 4.12. and i’ve maintained that all my years of high school. i have yet to get my act scores back and am awfully worried about those as well. i’ve never been very involved in school besides acedemics, sports were never for me and theater was a no no. in the city of milwaukee not many clubs are offered for schools. i do however participate in student council. i do multiple things in my community, however i worry that’s not enough. any advice?

Rosie Jefferson hi! What class are you? If there is time I would say join any club that you can take part of! Spanish clubs, women’s club anything, the smallest things makes a difference. If you really don’t have much stretch for things you’ve done at any time in your life... (dog walking, babysitting, watching family members...) the goal is to make yourself look good. Academics are good but there are people who have more than just academics that they want. If student council is your focus, try and get a higher position and explain your strong dedication to that, and your leadership position. Especially for howard, being in Washington D.C.
