Well what i have understood from all this is that those students who are getting scholarships or aids from ivies are basically way above us MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE FROM SMALL CITIES OR VILLAGES . Like i am from a village studying at a local private school in 12th and seeing students from schools of big cities like Delhi , Mumbai and all that and especially from schools like the shri ram, dps rkp , jpis , symbiosis etc getting into ivies and that to with huge aids , i just analysed why they were having such impressive extracurriculars and not students like us , the reason was simple they had all those resources with them , a lot of their seniors attend these ivies so they get motivated by them to do such extracurriculars , like for me i didn't even knew about any of these extracurriculars like yale young global scholars, intel isef , etc before and when i came to know about them it was too late, well no worries! . These schools even have guidance counsellors and special seminars for students to study abroad in senior classes , thats why they start doing them from 9th 10th or 11th , and for us we never knew about these activities, and so never cared about them well no fault of ours , ivies aren't everything. Life is way beyond them . And i , whose parents would even hesitate to pay 1000 rs to participate in a competition , am proud that i didn't knew about this earlier as i got to enjoy some precious moments with my freinds and classmates at our middle class school with 40 to 50 students per class ( ps: just expressed my hearts desire , didn't intend to hurt anyone's sentiments )

7:39 - great point, it's always great to have a smaller class size where you're able to get to know the professors on a deeper level. I've found that it helped me understand the material a lot better when I could ask specific questions in class and during office hours, not to mention helping when asking for letters of recommendation for grad school, scholarships, and other programs!

Wym teachers are not there?? It is exactly why people choose America education sometimes. If you are going to learn on your own, you need not pay lakhs of rupees fees and travel to Mumbai , you can just do some online courses and learn those skills. Another thing, you are studying in like the best IIT , so naturally, you must have the best education there. The acceptance rate to such colleges are VERY low, lower than ivy leagues in the US, which is also one reason.
