Hey ! Thanks for watching. Yes, they would consider your application but you will have to get A's in almost all your subjects to get accepted. ( I don't encourage the upgrading route though, most people I know who have upgraded and got As were still not accepted and had to do a Bsc or any other undergrad program) I would advise you to enrol for any undergraduate degree (of your choice) , get an average above 75% and then apply using those results to get into med the following year. Would you say it’s difficult to get into medicine with the first year marks? Provided the average is above 75 or 80 percent for instance? And why is it that most SMU BSc students only go to UP medical school?
@sihlemedic3 жыл бұрын
Its not difficult, there are people who managed to do well in first year and were able to get into medicine with those marks. I found first year a bit challenging because I was still getting used to varsity , some study methods that worked for me in high school were not working anymore and I had to change them , so when I was in 2nd year I had well adapted and I started doing very well. I think it's just personal preferences that determine where people end up studying, some go to UP, SMU, UFS etc. Just that its likely that when you've done one degree in one institution you'll most probably want a change of scenery and end up going to a different institution when doing another degree.
