I dont have that many activities but like do you think essays and transcript are a sought after thing for chapel hill? maybe because I have fewer activities do u think thats going to hinder me

Nati Gulilat Im not entirely sure what they they are looking for but I believe essays are pretty important bc it allows the readers to know more about you in addition to your grades which can ultimately sway the decision. And I don’t believe having fewer activities will hinder you tbh. Especially if you’re strong in other areas. And it’s good that you even have some!

I prepared for SAT but it not goes well (1050 like this) but my GPA 4.8 and I have lots of activity.What should I do? Maybe TOEFL? Because In officiall site of UnC SAT is not important due to pandemic.

Johnnie E. Brooker not sure exactly what unc does but generally, colleges will look at your unweighted gpa bc it's easily comparable to students at other school but if they're comparing you to other applicants at your school (which is likely) they will look at whatever weight your school uses

Hey! I’m just wondering... why chapel hill? It’s very expensive to go there as an out of state student and with your stats you could’ve gotten into so many better schools. I’m not trying to come across as rude I’m just wondering since I’m also considering chapel hill!

no worries! i didn't take it as rude. but to start, chapel hill actually isn't expensive for me because they gave me financial aid and i got an outside scholarship on top of that. as far my stats, I ended up getting waitlisted into several of the top schools. And I didn't want to miss my shot at chapel hill and my other choices trying to get into a school that could potentially reject me. But i chose chapel hill bc I visited and had an amazing experience. the campus is amazing and the people are so welcoming. I did skip on a higher ranked school for chapel hill but thats bc it felt like a better fit for me.
