⭐ Who is Kelly
Kelly Hu is a rising senior at UC Berkeley studying Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (EECS) with a concentration in Design Innovation, originally from Toronto, Canada. As an ex-bioengineering major, she first stumbled across design by exploring it through the lens of healthcare and medical devices in my classes. Since then, she has embraced a multidisciplinary approach to design and love trying out different design niches. Her current work experience focuses on product design and UX, and She’s especially fascinated by leveraging design for social impact and human connection.
In the summer of 2023, Kelly joined Spotify as a product design intern! Last summer, she was at Meta as a product design intern working on Instagram Direct Messaging features. In school, she loves to give back to Berkeley’s design community through teaching student-led web design and human-centered design courses. She has also worked with several non-profits through a club called Cal Blueprint, to help them design and build apps from 0 to 1 pro-bono, and have done consulting projects with clients from Netflix and Logitech Gaming through Berkeley Innovation.
