I had a similar experience. But I eventually laughed at it all. My mother was born in Cuba when Jamaicans used to work there on the sugar plantation. I was born in England. So after going to infant school, primary school, high school then finally CAST it never dawn on me that need to apply for citizenship. So I went to the Ministry and the lady said ‘how you got free education, free scholarships, no work permits?’ ‘You don’t have any of this Rock yu know’ it scared me. Anyway, I revisited the same office a year later but was seen by a different lady. I told her about my first visit which she apologized on behalf of the woman. She assisted me and within a few months the citizenship was granted. Yes Jamaica is a paradise in spite of those one or two

You always find those cruel, unprofessional people in the government offices. They feel like they have the privilege to abuse people bcos they're in the government office. "That immigration woman" SHOULD INDEED be serving interests of her fellow Jamaicans as a priority! That is what they are there to do: They are there to GUARD Jamaicans National Interests against UNKNOWN FOREIGN threats! If anything the vast majority of Jamaicans should never ever forget is how they came to be in Jamaica in the first place: It was on account of the evil acts of unknown foreign invaders and kidnappers! This immigration "woman" is on the right side of history; you are not!

@@nirbijaThis is pure trash! How was she protecting the interests of Jamaicans by doing what she did to this woman? Are these the questions and suggestions you get when you go to the US embassy? I can imagine not many would have understood just how strong 2 young people wanting to be together can be. What a sad woman. Flor good morning from England. From I was growing up in Jamaica as a child. I always love Cuban people. Always thinking the best doctors in the whole world is from Cuban. Since moving and living in England I have never trusted any doctors in this country especially since Covid. Is the first I'm watching your channel and I know you said you don't have any Jamaican friends can't say I blame you. But girl I welcome you to loving and living in Jamaica unlike many of us who is so scared is moving back to Jamaica. I'm looking forward to meet and greet you when I come to Jamaica. We need more Cubans in Jamaica like you. One of the thing I will tell you black Jamaicans don't like our colour and especially when you don't wear wig and you pretty they are so jealous and badmind.

You are such a sweet and beautiful person. You give us an insight into Cuba. My wife of 25 years is Jamaican. We have two sons. My first wife was Cuban. She passed from cancer. She was born in Camaguey and came the US with Peter Pan. They placed her with a family in Oregon. She didn't speak any English and the students made fun of her. She was so intelligent, the Cuban regime was going to send her to the Soviet Union to become a doctor. When they told her father, a wealthy sugar farmer, he put her on the next plane to the US.😁

You will never forget the first few digs at your motivations for "taking one of Jamaica's good men". Those insults will always resonate with you as your first impression of how Jamaicans thought about you. "There are not enough good men in your own country that you have to take ours"? I got all of those comments and more. I salute you for your kindness in not naming that officer. Jamaica is a small island. Word travels with the speed of light. You know who you are and your worth. Never allow anyone to tear you down to their level. Hold your head high. I wish I was there to sit down and talk to you. I believe that we would have been great friends. Be well.
