I feel like if you’re actively trying to change your flight, then you should mention it to the travel partner so maybe they can adjust their own travel plans if needed wether you end up getting the seat or not.

I think whats 'bad' about the fixing mode thing is the fact that when someone has a feeling or problem and is talking about it, they go through the feelings at that time and having the solution is too many steps ahead, like you first need to understand the feeling and then come up with a solution, so the 'marinating' in the feeling is to help the person coming to the stage of acceptance and then solutions. Like with a baby that plays with a ball, you don't bring him the ball but it has to get it himself to learn to do things. Is that understandable? Greetings from germany ❤

Either travel together as a team or give a heads up so people can prepare to navigate by themselves. Actually traveling alone takes time and if you are not used to, you need time to plan everything.

I’m with Zack on the flying argument. The first time I traveled I went with a friend to Colorado and I had to fly back on a Sunday to make it to work Monday, he didn’t want to fly at night and wanted to wait until Monday to leave so I had to travel by myself which I quite enjoyed. So instead of better seat he just wanted a better flight time that I couldn’t take to make it back to work in time.
