Is anyone else unable to speak long sentences without running out of breath? It happens to me when I'm standing but also when lying down. It's a symptom I haven't seen anyone else mention, but it bothers me a lot. Ty for the vid, helps a lot

Yes... That can happen if your adrenaline is already up. It's like you can't do too much when your adrenaline is already up because it's taking so much of your energy. Even talking takes energy and makes you short of breath

Last year my heart beat started to go high by just standing up and climbing one floor, also I started to have chest pain because of that I thought something is wrong with my heart so went to a cardiologist, after treadmill test and some blood test the doctor said my heart is fine and he has no idea why it is happening. I googled it and found it's called pots. Yes recently I have started to run out of breath while talking. My heart rate also increases if I change side while sleeping.

I would disagree with the notion that it doesn't matter. It may not matter for changing your mindset, but it certainly matters for treatment! If you have MCAS, you might find anti-histamine diet is helpful. If it's something like EDS, you might benefit from collagen. Any little thing you can do to help alleviate those symptoms is helpful, and may not simply go away from exercise alone.

That’s exactly the entire point of the video. How you got it doesn’t matter, how you treat it matters. I also don’t think I have ever said working out is the only thing to change it. Diet, lifestyle, supplements, and exercise are the core tenants I use to help people and myself.

I know I could probably watch more of your videos and get an answer but... I was wondering, whenever you get into like the 150's-170's heart rate, after a workout do you sometimes feel like it takes a little longer than usual for you hr to come down? Shit gives me mad anxiety then a panic an shoot my hr up.

For me it started right after I got covid and I am not vaccinated. So perhaps it has something to do with the virus itself or autoimmune reaction to it.

Holy shit man ~ this is what people need to hear, seriously. How many times do you (I) get negative about this, walk around a corner and someone is wheeling themselves in a wheelchair with a smile.. or something much worse than you. You have to work everyday towards getting better not dwelling on how you got it. It happened. Move on

Some People do die from POTS, because their hearts stop when the vagal nerve over reacts and stops the heart. It concerns me that you are minimizing this. "Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) is a condition that can cause an abnormal heart rate response when someone stands up. This can lead to a rapid increase in heart rate, which can trigger a drop in blood pressure that can cause fainting. The brain's response to a fast heart rate can also cause the vagal nerve to slow or stop the heart."

@@joan2356 this is a prime example of health anxiety and looking for a reason to be concerned. There is zero data showing people die directly from POTs. A Google search will provide you with that answer. “No, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) is not usually life-threatening, and there have been no reported deaths directly caused by the disorder.” Respectfully, please do not come on my page and fear monger based on your own anxieties. We operate off of positivity and hope here. Not false facts and rabbit holes that don’t benefit anyone. I say this with love in hopes that you will find peace in this and make progress.

@@jdquintero12 I believe you are operating on old information. You see, with current technology like the Boston Scientific Loop Recorder they are able to see that the heart does on some actually stop, and this illness can be life threatening. For these individuals they install a pacemaker. I think it is dangerous for you to state that no one dies from this, especially since you are not a doctor. If you would like to learn more about this you can meet with a Cardiologist/Electrophysiologist to learn more. I am not a troll, I am just responding to your blanket statement that I found incorrect. I enjoyed your video and appreciate what you share. No need to respond, I do not need to be right. I am confident that I am under good medical care and found wearing the loop recorder to be extremely helpful.... it saved my life. Technology is amazing these days.

Well when you go to a doctor and you're looking for answers or treatment typically you try to create a timeline where the doctor can trace the origin of your illness. Does that make sense for most people? I would say so unless you're naturally more inclined to seek other types of therapy and treatments other than a medical doctor.

So even the premise of your first answer sides with my answer. There is zero evidence to suggest that the course of treatment is dependent on the cause, if it is indeed POTs and not “POTs like” symptoms due to something else such as hormone dysfunctions etc.
