Great choice for your hotel @kymIllman! I've stayed at the Parkroyal collection a number of times on my trips to Singapore, even during its changeover from Marina Mandarin to Parkroyal Collection! A fantastic hotel with an amazing view of Marina Bay. Looking forward to taking my family there at the beginning of next year! One day I'll attempt to stay there on F1 weekend!

I also missed my early morning flight from Hong Kong to Taipei a week ago. My problem was also arriving late, but my plane was still there. Still, there is no time to catch it anymore. we had some big discussions and confusion about changing my flight to a later one. Cathay insisted that my travel agent only change it, but it was booked at Cathay directly from my travel agency... 3 hours later I was finally sitting on a plane to Taipei... good luck next time ;-)

Poor Kym; those long, sleepless legs really suck. Can still remember waking up at 8am China time then taking an 11pm from Chengdu to Shanghai, then to Melbourne then finally Adelaide where I finally got to sleep at 9pm China time; 37 hours with no sleep.

Love your videos. I would hate to think how many flights you catch in a year. There must be some kind of notification alert that you can put in your phone. Or the old "fail safe", write it on the back of your hand like I do. Saves a lot of worry.

Assuming a very (very) generous 2 flights per race, and average 22 race season. That puts you around 230flights just for f1 at this point (probably more like 500!) so I’d say a miss rate of only 2 in all of those, is pretty good!

Question,...Where does the camera gear go?,..I'm assuming its too bulky for the cabin but it must be in a bullet proof case to go in the hold,...Then what if it gets lost?,..I'm stressed at the thought,...And an observation,. The first 5 races of 2025 are all back to back fly aways,...In my memory that's never happened before,....A logistical nightmare for the teams and a struggle for anyone working at them all !,..I wonder if you get a chance if you could ask a few race team set up crew what they think about that,..When they are not grafting of course !

Definitely hate the feeling when you miss any flight regardless if it's your fault or not. When it happens to me it always happens when there are connections too! I noticed they through checked your checked in luggage to you EK flight even on a separate ticket. Did you have to ask for that? Also doesn't EK app have a digital boarding pass, it been awhile for me.
