About the flights not being long enough to enjoy meals, amenities, and sleep as well: I've flown "backwards" in order to connect to a longer flight for this reason. Then I just pray for no tailwind! The best is to live on the west coast of the United States: good flight length to Europe or Asia. Presuming you are flying upper class of course. Otherwise it's hell. So I'm told 🙂

The kindness and hospitality offered by owners/managers of pubs and B&Bs helps make one's stays particularly pleasant and fun, even without luxury. I have happy memories of stays around the UK. One night was spent in a family owned castle that took in guests ... we were invited to join the family for tea. Nothing fancy, but we were regaled with great stories and the history of the place. Our room was a bit dank and chilly, the shower water just tepid, but what an experience, thanks to our hospitable hosts who also joined us at breakfast and took us for a tour of the place and it's grounds. We were there a bit off season and the only guests that night, which may explain the personal touch, but it was much appreciated.

I would report that man to Customer Services. It is shocking to pay all that 💰💰💰💰 and then to be treated like that. No engaging with the customer or weather discussion pleasantries. No eye contact or walking at the pace that suits the client. He walked sloppy too and dragged his feet as he approached the handover. Admittedly, he probably does this walk 30 times a day, but that's no excuse. It's the job he signed up for. Yeap, that would definitely be a complaint from me.

My late father in law laid the first airstrip both in Abu Dhabi and in Doha during the second World War . He was with the royal Engineers and planes returning from the far east theatre had nowhere to land and risked crashing if out of fuel , so airstrips were created in both places. Employing local workmen , he was alone carrying out both tasks and spoke of being guarded by the men of the local Sheikh bearing scimitars . This was of corse before the discovery of oil and the Sheikh lived very modestly . Greatly enjoyed the film

If I was in the position to be able to pay that sort of price for the flight as a treat, I'd rather put the money towards having a top hotel stay in the destination I was travelling too rather than putting it on the flight. If money was no object though, then of course I'd do this - it looks amazing. 4 people crouching in the shower is a little disturbing, but the free tap of Champagne would overcome most of my anxieties.

Looks ultra luxurious, How that can fit on a plane Idk. Yet again the A380 is just a mental plane how something that big gets into the sky is incredible

Awesome experience, but my only problem with it would be the destination. When you get off the plane, you're in the fookin DESERT!🤣🤣🤣

I remember watching you review walking from Sheringham to Cromer and then Scarborough hotel. Ohh yes the hotel in Eastbourough, I've always loved your honesty in reviews and seeing you now on a residence first class on Eithad feels like on of our own has made it through hard work. Go on lad! All the best, you deserve it!

That fellow who showed you to your waiting lounge upon boarding was less than hospitable. He walked five paces ahead of you, didn't engage with you and I noticed he was shuffling his feet when he walked.

shuffling his feet? In the footage he's lifting them clean off of the floor. Where exactly is the shuffling?

@@JanBee1122 That's the heel of the shoe coming down on that tile. It's not possible to avoid that unless you're wearing running shoes. Go to a video of the US marines doing their ceremonial walk inside a tiled building, you can hear the click clack of the shoes. If those guys can't avoid it, no one can.
