I just wanted to let you know that your videos are a big help to me. I myself have never been incarcerated at anytime, not that I have exactly been Lilly white, but my girlfriend is a prisoner​ at Washington department of corrections for women, and. your videos have helped me to know what prison life is pretty much like, it is helping me to not be so angry because it shows me how someone on the outside is needed for support for them, and I held alot of anger because she kept doing the same things over and over and we'll that is why she is where she is today, but it is doing wonderful things for her she is utilizing all sorts of programs to better herself, and to be honest I am glad she is where she is or our relationship would be non existent today so just wanted to thank you

TBH I did. But the important thing is to try not to think about that as much. Because if you spend everyday thinking about that alot. TIme seems to go by very very slow.

I did 18 months at a private prison in Ohio (Lake Erie Correctional), and my routine involved getting my GED (school), playing guitar, took my loading dock prison job seriously, nap time, library. And yes, I got up early to enjoy the peace and quiet and more "privacy" for showering and shitting. ( You figure out quickly how to get "quiet time") The yard was open all day during daylight except for chow and count. Minimum/medium security place.

Have just recently been fortunate to find your channel about a month ago now. I'm from Australia and have never been on the so called wrong side of the law myself. I do have a cousin who I'm close to who is the same age as me( we are just a couple of years younger than you) who is locked up for charges very similar to you. I live to far away to visit him but have regular contact with his mum, my aunt. Your videos are not just entertaining, they also deal with all the things that family wonder about, whether to write to them or not, what sort of mindset they may have and what road they are headed down not while inside and when they get out. I told my aunt about your show and she is watching too now. We're hoping that my cousin can use your videos to help get him on the right track when he gets out in a few years. Its so inspiring to see how far you have come and I hope we can help my cousin out a bit with what we are learning from you and hopefully get him to be watching you too when he's done his time. I guess only time will tell, and as sad as I want to see Dave go back to the old ways it also highlights that no matter what we do, the choice is ultimately his to make. Keep the awesome content coming and thanks for opening my eyes to all of this. Until then, enjoy life, the free world and never take a moment for granted..... PEACE! From the land down under. 😀

hey joe, your'e kinda making spending time in prison sound not that bad at all. I mean, playing basketball, watching tv and reading books all day doesn't sound that bad. hell, that's probably a better situation than some people have in the free world. that being said though, its probably not a very good idea to make prison sound enjoyable cause it isn't. kids might see this video and think like "hey prison isn't that bad, so there's no reason to not do crimes, right?" well that might be a bit far fetched, but you get the point. Jack Finn I can answer you as a former prisoner locked up for 6.5 years. I witnessed 1 hanging in jail, and had a prisoner OD on smuggled heroin, at my level 1 prison, in a cell on my block. Literally right after talking to him. Medics came in to retrieve the body. Suicides are prevalent, and under reported.
