Courtney, do you have any opinion on Olaplex as of recent? It may be controversial, and/or similar to your review on Not So Pretty- I was just curious if you or any other influencers that I follow have any opinion 🙏 you don't have to say how you feel in a comment if you're planning on doing a video. Always appreciate your content 💖

Totally random, not related comment: I just wanted to thank you for respecting your children’s privacy and dignity. When I first watched your channel, I thought it was interesting that you didn’t show your son often or share his name, because I was so used to other KZbinrs sharing their children in their videos. And when baby girl was born, I was hoping to learn her name, only because we all enjoy your content, and felt connected to your pregnancy journey. But I understood where you were coming from. After doing some research on family vlogs and child exploitation on the internet- I am now like “Ooohhhh!! Okay that makes a ton of sense.” So now, I am SO glad you represent your family the way you do. Your kids will thank you for it someday.

Go Go Courtney! In the last 5 years I’ve grown my hair from my chin to my butt and agree 100% with everything you mentioned, they’ve helped me achieve my goals too. One thing you didn’t mention was protective hairstyles and hair coverings for sleeping. Pineapple buns are a great option for many but never worked for me - directing my hair against the way it grows hurts my scalp, so I sleep in a braid. But since I started sleeping in a bonnet I’ve noticed significantly less split ends. I really love the Yanibest bonnet that I got on Amazon which is lined with mulberry silk. I gently twist my hair at the nape of my neck and pop on the bonnet. No. More. Tangles!

I know this might seem basic but I'd love to see a video on how you product free air dry. Like exactly what you do when you get out of the shower. I know results will vary widely based on hair texture and porosity, but I've been looking for an easy no fuss routine for days I don't want to do all the scrunching and diffusing. My scalp needs to be cleansed every 1-2 days and its just too much work to do my entire curly routine all the time. Your product free hair is so shiny and beautiful!

Great tips Courtney! I cut my hair above my shoulders when my last baby was 3 months old. I had long hair and the postpartum shedding was driving me nuts so I donated my hair. She's about to turn 7 now and my hair is to my hips. Its wavy and course, loves oils and not being washed often 😁 Braids and search and destroy trims along with oil on the ends and regular deep conditioning are my best tips.

10 Tips (short bullets): 1. Explains the important of trimming as preventative damage and curly friendly products (sulfate and silicone free) 2. Microfiber towel 3. Wavy friendly brush starting at ends and be gentle. 4. Only brush your hair with a slip agent (leave in conditioner while wet or hair oil while dry) 5. Silk pillowcase 6. Silk hair tie or invisibobble 7. Little to no heat on hair 8. Regular trimmings 9. Nutrition (protein) 10. Exercise

Thanks for this Courtney! I am dealing with post-Covid hair loss right now, and so I am trying to be as gentle as possible with it. I've basically been pretending it's cooked angel hair pasta, any time I touch it lol! I already do many of these tips, but I'm bad about getting regular trims, or using oil each and every time I dry brush my hair. I will do both from now on!

With the exception of about 5 years when it was hard to find silk or satin pillow cases (and Igot sick of sewing them myself) , I've been sleeping on a silk/satin since I was a little girl. My aunt who lived out of state used to send me BOXES AND BOXES of clothes. She sent a silk pillow case because my hair would get so tangled. I just loved the feeling of the cool, slippery fabric. I had no idea that it was sent specifically to try to help with the tangles until I asked my mom about it a month ago. She tells me the pillow cases were the only reason I was "allowed' to keep my hair long -- otherwise she would have chopped it so she "didn't have to listen to [me] whine about it" every time she brushed my hair (don't get me started... I took over all the brushing of my hair at about 6 because she was so rough).

Giiirl if your hair looks like THAT naturally, you don't have curly hair, you have straight slightly wavy hair. The miracle with you is that when you wanna style it curly, your hair gets incredibly curly, which straight-haired people cannot do, their hair just goes back to straight. You are literally a living miracle hybrid ^^ Oh and... you have the glossiest hair I have seen in life xDDD Is it naturally shiny like that ? cause that's incredible! I grew my hair long several times but unfortunately it took forever because north african curly hair (mine) is prone to frizz and damage on its own, literally, even when not using heat. the last half gets like straw :/// I can qlso see it with bloggers : european/american bloggers heat-style their hair every single day, and it still looks so incredibly silky and healthy naturally. Our turns into straw ://///

This is what wavy hair is like. Courtney has mentioned the benefits many times and helped me enjoy my hair. I always hated my “not straight not curly hair”, but she’s helped me see that we can encourage it to be straighter by pulling it down (did you notice she said she brushed it while wet?) or we can encourage it to hold its shape while wet by putting hold products on it and scrunching it up. Pushing it up vs pulling it down. She’s not a miracle 😂 this is type 2 wavy hair 😊
@shoresofreedom
@shoresofreedom Жыл бұрын
@@baozi5536 i literally had no idea that was possible until now 😅😅😅 If I brush my hair while wet, it s still super curly. And if my friends with straight hair crunch/style their hair to make it curly, it never gets curly and goes back to straight. ✌️✌️✌️

Gosh what else will y'all steal? Even down to the length-check tee-shirt. You are claiming you did it yourself, as if this is YOUR creation. Tons of black women have been having these shirts for YEARS on their hair journey. YOU FOLKS ARE INCREDIBLE! NOT TO MENTION WITHOUT SHAME!
@mandiwolfe6631
@mandiwolfe6631 Жыл бұрын
She did NOT imply that she created the concept of the length check shirt! She simply said she created the shirt she was physically wearing and asked if anyone wanted that exact shirt. Stop demonizing her. Does what you're saying happen? Yes, absolutely and it is not ok. But did that scenario happen in this particular situation? NO.
Is it Hair Transition or Terrible Products for Your Hair? That is the question!
