Okay, traumatizing story about seeing you shave your head and what followed for me in my life. . . . . . . . . After I saw you shave your head, I brought it up to my ex about the shave your head trend and said I was thinking about it while we were out to dinner. This man, after getting home, grabbed the buzzer and me and shaved my head without asking me. I've literally never gone through anything as traumatizing in my life. And trust me, he caused so much trauma for me in many ways. Good news is I left him a few months later, and now I'm much better and have long, beautiful, healthy hair because I'm so protective over it now.

@TarynToday thank you! It's been I think 4 years now and I'm so happy I left that relationship. I'm still dealing with the trama but I'm married now to an amazing person who respects my boundaries and supports my hair journey the most.

I’m a man trying to grow out my hair for the past 6 months and my biggest mistake was asking a hairstylist to clean up split ends and then they cut 4 inches off because that’s what they expect me to want instead of listening now I’m back to the start😀🔫

SAME! I asked for layers but keep the lenght and they gave me a short ass wolfcut and I was so sad. I hate stylists so much!! 😭😭

Always trim your hair by yourself. I never go to hair salons , I have wavy dark hair and I take care of it at home and it's long and luxurious. The thing is that I used to go with my high school bestie to hair salons and she have way longer brown pretty hair, and when she asks for straightening they tell her she needs to cut the split ends cuz it looks ugly . And they shorten it A LOT. People always tell me to straighten my hair cuz they feel it will look cute but I only do it in big occasions, and when I do .I REALLY SUFFER LOL . Those women that work there always pull my hair for no reason while straightening. 😂😂

I understand completely about bleach, but my hair has to be blue... I learned a little too late to treat my hair more gently. I think I'll also try the hair oiling but I really really hate the feel of greasy hair. Overall good video, thanks for keeping it short!

I'm a guy and have had trouble getting my hair more than a couple inches past my shoulders. After learning how to wash and condition, and switching to a rectangle claw instead of ponies(shocker, none of the women in my life would teach me this stuff) my hair has raced to the point where i can grab it by reaching up behind my back, and it's still going strong(only an inch of damaged hair in 6 months)

I don't think that's super normal, I use castor oil too and it doesn't do that. If it's like super itchy it's probably not a good sign. Be careful

hi, erin! i always see your videos about hair growth and i wanted ask how long it took you to grow it all back? i also noticed that in a lot of your videos you use rosemary water or oil or something- and i wanted to ask if thats a good idea! i have poofy, frizzy, a little past my jawline length hair and wanted to know if that was a good thing to use to grow my hair?

I have a bamboo brush and I used to use calia shampoo too. My hair type is VERY odd and no matter what shampoo I use, it always looks weird, so I just use whatever my grandma buys (I live with her.) I have horrible genetics.. My dads side of the family has pin straight hair, and my mums side has very curly hair. My hair is wavy, curly, and straight all at the same time.. I recently started using those bendy foam hair roller things, I'm trying to find the best product that works out with them. Last night I used a curling spray with the foam rollers and when I took them out MY HAIR POOFED OUT LIKE AN AFRO! So far the only thing that works is a heat and UV spray when I use the rollers. I also live in a very hot and humid climate so my hair is dry and poofy. If I use a leave in conditioner or serum, my hair gets oily FAST due to the heat and humidity because I sweat. If I don't use anything, it gets very dry and poofs out. Every day is a bad hair day for me sadly... Hopefully I can find a good mixture of products to use with the hair rollers that will make my hair look decent!

Hey I think I might habe advice for you. So I once saw a video of a young woman who is a hairdresser. She said that there are people who have naturally frizzy hair and that the naturally-frizzy hairtype is very difficult to care for and that it needs different haircare then the regular for wavy or curly hair routines. She did say Bumble&Bumble had a shampoo line for that frizzy type. Beside that I am guessing your hair is wavy and frizzy (if that is what you mean ny it poufs). Have you looked into wavy/curly haircare yet? I heard that wavy/curly hair is naturally very dry and if not enough moisture is added then it falls flat or gets straight. A friend of mine has straight hair and we once walked in the rain and from the humidity in the air her hair got waves.

I felt that. My hair used to grow fast, but it doesn't anymore. It could be stress, or if you are getting your hair cut too often (once every 6 weeks) you're not really giving it time to grow. There are also a lot of hairdressers that have videos on KZbin about how to grow out your hair and hair care that I have found very helpful. Good luck!

Everyone says oil your hair but it RUINED my hair. It caused it to break off like crazy. I have fine thin hair and have seen some people say it’s not good for that hair type but it looks like you have fine thin hair so I don’t understand what happened with mine 😭

My lil sis shaved her hair 7months ago but she's very shy that's because she always covers her hair with a scarf. Even at home. Now her hair is getting curly and she is asking that if she gets off her scarf is there any chance to her hair become straight. I didn’t know about it so i'm asking it to you guys😢

I really love using Rosemary oil too but I fear what if some oil get onto my forehead and cheek etc and causes hair to grow on my cheek and forehead cause I heard rosemary oil is incredibly good for hair growth.

It stimulates growth. Like coffein shampoos do. You can also do a headmassage instead of oil. castorOil can help with growing lastes long. But you won't grow hair on your cheeks or forhead.

Shampoo but when u wash it out do it 2x once to get the oil out and the second time to get dirt out:)

Also when you shave your head the regrowth looks darker than your actual hair colour until it grows a certain length - atleast that's the way it is for my hair. My hair looks brown until I have atleast 2-3 inches of regrowth, then it starts looking blonde again. My hair is also a couple shades darker than hers though.
